HUFLITers continue to achieve high awards at the 11th K-Speech Korean Debate Contest in Vietnam
Participating in the 11th K-Speech Korean Debate Contest held on May 27th, HUFLIT students excellently won two prestigious awards, including the First Prize for group debate and the Second Prize for individual debate. This is the third consecutive year that HUFLIT students have achieved high honors at this renowned academic competition.
The 11th K-Speech Korean Debate Contest was organized by Van Lang University in collaboration with the Korean Council for Reconciliation and Unity in Vietnam, the Korean Speech Contest Association of Vietnam, and Life Plaza Magazine, attracting great attention from Korean language training institutions, including HUFLIT.
This year’s contest brought together selected students from over 20 institutions, including middle schools, high schools, colleges, and universities offering Korean language training in the Central and Southern regions. The competition consisted of two categories: individual debate and group debate.
With their outstanding language proficiency and deep understanding of Korean society, three HUFLIT students achieved impressive results. The First Prize for group debate was won by Doan Thi Thuy Linh and Nguyen Thanh Hao, guided by Prof. Lee Gye Sook. The Second Prize for individual debate was earned by Nguyen Ngoc Boi, guided by Prof. Hoang Thi Bich Ngoc.

Confidently choosing the theme “Godsaeng – The new healthy lifestyle of Korean youth”, the group of third-year students, Doan Thi Thuy Linh and Nguyen Thanh Hao, impressed the judges with their excellent performance. They not only demonstrated a deep understanding of Korean culture but also aimed to promote the positive and healthy lifestyle of Korean youth today.
