LIVE & LEARN 2019: Cultural and learning exchange program of Kobe International University students at HUFLIT
At the end of February, Ho Chi Minh City University of Foreign Languages - Information Technology was pleased to organize the program “Live and Learn in Vietnam 2019” for students from Kobe International University, Japan. The program took place from February 17 to February 22, 2019 with many meaningful and interesting cultural and learning exchange activities.

The students of Kobe International University (KIU) had very special experiences at HUFLIT such as participating in a thematic study session to learn about the general knowledge of culture, language and history of Vietnam; practicing Vietnamese with the Japanese Club – Faculty of Oriental Languages and Cultures. KIU students were very excited when visiting cultural and historical relics in Ho Chi Minh City such as: Independence Palace, Notre Dame Cathedral, Central Post Office, City Theater, War Remnants Museum… Not only stopping at the inner city, they also immersed themselves in the natural ecological landscape in the Mekong Delta in Tien Giang and Ben Tre; learning about the heroic history of the Vietnamese people’s struggle for independence at Cu Chi Tunnels.

Also within the framework of this program, KIU students had the opportunity to study at Saigon High-Tech Park (SHTP), Go Go Entertainment Company and had meaningful activities such as visiting and giving gifts to disabled and orphaned children of Hoa Binh Village at Tu Du Hospital.

On the evening of February 22, the Department of Foreign Affairs – General Affairs – Administration coordinated with the Faculty of Oriental Languages and Cultures to organize a gala exchange for the delegation of Kobe International University with the participation of students majoring in Japanese Studies at HUFLIT. In an intimate but equally exciting atmosphere, students from both schools strengthened their friendship and mutual understanding through art performances, group games and parties as well as enjoying Vietnamese specialties.

Although the program “Live and Learn in Vietnam 2019” has ended, it has left many unforgettable feelings and good impressions on the students of Kobe International University.
