HUFLIT expands cooperation with Ibaraki Christian University, Japan
After 13 years since the first MOU signing with Ibaraki Christian University, Japan, HUFLIT continues to expand the bilateral cooperation relationship with many new contents, thereby bringing many opportunities to experience and improve the quality of learning for students.
During a working trip to Vietnam, a delegation from Ibaraki Christian University (IC), Japan, including Prof. Naomi Ueno – Principal; Prof. Toshikatsu Yamanaka – Head of College of Life Science, former Head of International Cooperation Department; Mr. Koichi Wada – Head of Training Department, visited HUFLIT and discussed further directions for expanding cooperation.
Assoc. Prof .Dr .Nguyen Ngoc Vu – Vice Principal of HUFLIT is very pleased to welcome a close partner like IC, especially the Rector of IC, to visit HUFLIT on the first day of the new school year, and hopes that many students from the two schools will be able to exchange and experience the learning environment at the partner school.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Thieu – Head of Foreign Affairs Department shared the directions of cooperation that can be further developed between the two schools such as organizing Vietnamese cultural exchange courses, opening short-term/long-term Vietnamese or English classes according to IC’s needs, organizing internship programs for IC students at HUFLIT or businesses in Vietnam.
In response, Prof. Naomi Ueno – Principal of IC said that he always values the relationship with HUFLIT, agreed to increase the number of students participating in the transfer program to 3, and will consider increasing the number of students participating in the exchange program.
On this occasion, the two sides also re-signed the Transition Program Agreement with more suitable conditions of participation.
Overview of the cooperative relationship between the two schools: IC is HUFLIT’s second longest-standing Japanese partner (after Bukkyo University). In 2010, HUFLIT signed a Memorandum of Understanding, Student Exchange Program Agreement and officially became IC’s first Vietnamese partner. Continuing that relationship, in 2019, HUFLIT once again became the first partner to implement a transfer program with IC. Since 2010, HUFLIT has sent 23 exchange students and 1 transfer student. With nearly 15 years of bilateral cooperation, HUFLIT and IC hope to bring more opportunities to study in an international environment for students, as well as help IC students have interesting experiences at HUFLIT.
