On April 27, 2023, the 6th Floor Auditorium at HUFLIT’s Su Van Hanh Campus was filled with anticipation as over 500 students gathered for the seminar titled “On the Threshold of the Future.” This highly impactful event aimed to prepare HUFLIT students with the soft skills needed to thrive in the modern world, marking another milestone in the university’s commitment to student development.
The seminar was led by M.A. Pham The Chau, a renowned lecturer from the Faculty of Foreign Languages with extensive expertise in youth guidance and skill-building. His engaging and thought-provoking presentation focused on the importance of mastering soft skills to navigate the challenges of a dynamic and ever-changing global landscape.

M.A. Chau began by highlighting the critical soft skills that are indispensable for personal and professional success in today’s world. These included communication skills, which enable students to express themselves effectively; time management, essential for prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines; teamwork, for thriving in collaborative environments; and creative thinking and problem-solving, which drive innovation and adaptability. Through real-life examples and relatable anecdotes, M.A. Chau emphasized how these skills are the building blocks for a successful career and a fulfilling life.
Beyond imparting practical knowledge, M.A. Chau delved into the core elements students need to prepare for the future. He emphasized the importance of not only developing professional expertise but also cultivating a positive attitude, adaptability, and resilience in diverse working environments. He urged students to embrace change and seek opportunities to grow beyond their comfort zones, reminding them that the world is full of possibilities for those willing to take the initiative.
One of the seminar’s highlights was the interactive session, during which students eagerly shared their concerns and questions about career development. M.A. Chau listened attentively and offered clear, actionable guidance tailored to their needs. His thoughtful advice helped many attendees address uncertainties about their future and develop concrete plans to achieve their goals.

The seminar was more than just an educational experience—it was a source of inspiration. Through his words, M.A. Chau encouraged students to take ownership of their personal and professional growth, urging them to seize opportunities, embrace challenges, and become proactive contributors to society. The atmosphere was charged with motivation as students left the auditorium with renewed confidence and a clearer vision of their future.
The event also served as a platform for HUFLIT to reinforce its mission of preparing students to excel in all aspects of life. By organizing seminars like “On the Threshold of the Future,” the university continues to equip students with not only academic knowledge but also the practical skills and mindset necessary to succeed in an increasingly competitive world.
For HUFLIT students, this seminar was a meaningful starting point—a chance to reflect on their strengths, work on their weaknesses, and lay the foundation for a brighter future. It reaffirmed the university’s role as a leader in nurturing well-rounded graduates who are ready to make meaningful contributions to society.
