Specialized Seminar: “On the Threshold of the Future” – Equipping HUFLIT Students with Soft Skills
On April 27, 2023, the 6th Floor Auditorium at HUFLIT’s Su Van Hanh Campus was filled with anticipation as over 500 students gathered for the seminar titled “On the Threshold of the Future.” This highly impactful event aimed to prepare HUFLIT students with the soft skills needed to thrive in the modern world, marking another milestone in the university’s commitment to student development.
The seminar was led by M.A. Pham The Chau, a renowned lecturer from the Faculty of Foreign Languages with extensive expertise in youth guidance and skill-building. His engaging and thought-provoking presentation focused on the importance of mastering soft skills to navigate the challenges of a dynamic and ever-changing global landscape.
M.A. Chau began by highlighting the critical soft skills that are indispensable for personal and professional success in today’s world. These included communication skills, which enable students to express themselves effectively; time management, essential for prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines; teamwork, for thriving in collaborative environments; and creative thinking and problem-solving, which drive innovation and adaptability. Through real-life examples and relatable anecdotes, M.A. Chau emphasized how these skills are the building blocks for a successful career and a fulfilling life.
Beyond imparting practical knowledge, M.A. Chau delved into the core elements students need to prepare for the future. He emphasized the importance of not only developing professional expertise but also cultivating a positive attitude, adaptability, and resilience in diverse working environments.
