The 9th “Healthy Students Festival” – 2026 concluded successfully, leaving many positive impressions and contributing to the image of HUFLIT students as dynamic, healthy, and enthusiastic.
With the aim of promoting physical training, improving students’ health and spiritual well-being, and fostering an active and positive environment within the HUFLIT student community, the Youth Union and Student Association of the Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality at HUFLIT organized the 9th “Healthy Students Festival” – 2026.
The program took place at Cay Da 42 Football Field, Trung My Tay Ward, Ho Chi Minh City, with the participation of nearly 300 HUFLIT students who share a passion for sports and physical fitness.
The festival opened with an energetic tug-of-war activity, serving as an essential warm-up to help students loosen up and ignite their competitive spirit. With a well-adjusted level of physical intensity, this activity not only created a lively atmosphere but also helped participants prepare physically and minimize the risk of injury before entering the official competitions.
The festival continued with five main competition events, thoughtfully designed to combine strength, agility, endurance, and coordination, making them suitable for students’ physical conditions.
The 100-meter sprint took place in a vibrant yet suspenseful atmosphere. This event required students to complete the distance within a specified time, demonstrating speed, short-term endurance, and competitive determination. According to the rules, male athletes were required to finish within 16 seconds, while female athletes were required to complete the race within 19 seconds.
Next was the standing long jump, in which students jumped from a fixed position with a three-step run-up to assess leg strength and coordination. The distance was measured from the take-off point to the nearest landing point, with minimum requirements of 2.3 meters for male students and 1.6 meters for female students.
In the push-up/plank event, students demonstrated muscular strength and balance. Male participants performed 10 push-ups within 60 seconds per round, competing in three rounds. Female participants performed plank holds for 45 seconds per round, also across three rounds. Short breaks were provided between rounds to ensure safety and maintain physical endurance.
The jump rope event brought an energetic and lively competitive atmosphere, requiring agility, flexibility, and coordinated movements between hands and feet. The Organizing Committee counted the number of jumps completed within one minute. Male athletes were required to achieve at least 100 jumps, while female athletes needed a minimum of 80 jumps to complete the event.
The final event, the 50-meter sack race, combined physical activity with a fun and bonding atmosphere. Participants were required to complete the distance within the designated time, with results determined by timing. Male athletes were required to finish within 10 seconds, while female athletes were required to finish within 15 seconds.
At the conclusion of the competitions, the Organizing Committee presented awards to individuals with outstanding performances in the 100-meter sprint and jump rope events, divided into male and female categories. The awards recognized students’ efforts and positive competitive spirit while encouraging the university-wide movement of physical training.
The 9th “Healthy Students Festival” – 2026 was not only a healthy sports playground but also an opportunity for HUFLIT students to connect, strengthen solidarity, and promote an active and positive lifestyle. The success of the festival reaffirmed the practical value of student movement activities organized by the Student Association, while contributing to the promotion of physical fitness and the enhancement of students’ spiritual well-being—toward building the image of HUFLIT students who are healthy, resilient, and full of enthusiasm.
