The Faculty of Foreign Languages at HUFLIT “Ignites” the Teaching Profession for Major StudentsRecently, the Faculty of Foreign Languages organized the first professional skills seminar for students in the 2025–2026 academic year under the theme “From the Classroom to the Teaching Podium.” The program was not only a career-sharing session but also opened a profound narrative about the educational journey—exploring choices, commitment, and sustaining passion for the teaching profession in the context of modern education.

To prepare for the quality assessment of the Accounting curriculum and strive for the completion of the accounting curriculum according to international standards, on March 13th, 2021, the lecturers of the Faculty of Economics and Finance participated in the workshop “Ensuring the quality of the Accounting curriculum for higher education according to international standards” at the Sheraton Hotel, organized by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW).

During the workshop, the Faculty members participated in discussions on the learning outcomes of the Accounting curriculum, aiming for alignment with international standards and norms to achieve accreditation from international accreditation bodies such as FIBAA or AACSB. The ecosystem required for the accounting industry was also discussed, enabling continuous improvement in the quality of education for HUFLIT and the Faculty.

Currently, accounting is one of the eight professions open for free labor movement within the ASEAN Economic Community. Vietnam is promoting the implementation of referencing between the Vietnamese National Qualifications Framework and the Qualifications Frameworks of ASEAN countries, serving as a basis for mutual recognition of qualifications and enhancing quality and competitive capacity in accounting education.

Through the workshop, the Faculty reaffirmed the importance of renewing the accounting curriculum to align with the program of the International Association of Professional Accountants, along with the international educational materials for teaching and learning. The key objective is to enable HUFLIT graduates in accounting to seize career opportunities, integrate, and work within the ASEAN Economic Community.
