“I feel very lucky to have this great opportunity” – Anh Thu shared when talking about her journey to become a Finance Intern at CT Group. Before that, Anh Thu had sent her CV many times but did not receive any response due to lack of practical experience – a familiar concern for many new graduates.

Anh Thu’s opportunity comes from HUFLIT’s close and prestigious business network, especially in the cooperative relationship with CT Group. “I was given the opportunity to participate in interviews, presenting my skills and knowledge. Although I lacked practical experience, it was my careful preparation and proactive thinking that helped me pass the selection round and succeed. I am lucky to work in an extremely professional and inspiring environment” – Anh Thu shared.

At HUFLIT, in addition to studying, Anh Thu actively participates in many skill-building activities. “I was fortunate to be a class monitor, supporting teachers in many tasks, working in groups and giving presentations in many subjects.” These practical experiences have honed her confidence, communication skills and teamwork, key factors that help Anh Thu quickly adapt and develop in a professional working environment.

“These things have helped me feel more confident when I start working. I dare to show what I know and am willing to proactively ask questions about things I don’t understand, instead of just waiting for instructions,” Anh Thu revealed. Currently, Anh Thu is actively preparing for the transition assessment to the official position, scheduled to take place in August. After a period of hard work during the internship, Anh Thu shared that she feels ready in both professional knowledge and practical skills, and is constantly learning and improving to better meet the expectations of the business.

According to Anh Thu, the factor that helps HUFLIT students access high-quality job opportunities early while still in school is to clearly understand their passion and proactively seek opportunities. “The Faculties and Departments at HUFLIT always strive to connect with businesses and units for students to access and learn. Therefore, what students need is to find out what they want, through opportunities from HUFLIT and seize those opportunities.” Thereby, Anh Thu emphasized the parallel role between the school’s connection and the proactive spirit of each individual – two indispensable factors for students to be truly ready to enter the real working environment.

Sharing about her journey to win scholarships from corporations, Anh Thu frankly admitted that although academic results are important, they are never the only factor. According to Anh Thu, students should actively participate in activities, try many roles to identify their passion and practice self-confidence: ” Students should participate in many activities to find their passion, confidently express themselves through school activities or group projects, confidently give presentations – this is a point that many students are still hesitant because they ‘don’t dare’ “.

From a more practical perspective, Anh Thu especially emphasized the value of practicing initiative from an early age: “Learning to be proactive early will open up more opportunities for students. While still at school, if you make a mistake, you will be guided by teachers and friends to learn from your experience.”
