Training course on internal quality assurance, self-assessment and post-external-assessment improvement

Following the comprehensive review and adjustment of training programmes and the programme-level quality assurance work already carried out, HUFLIT held a 2-day training course on 6 and 8 November 2023 on the theme “Internal quality assurance system, self-assessment and post-external-assessment improvement”. Dr. Nguyen Quoc Chinh – Director of the Center for Educational Testing and Quality Assessment was the presenter of the training programme.

This training course aimed to equip members of the Quality Assurance Council with an understanding of the importance of building and operating an internal quality assurance (IQA) system that meets institutional accreditation standards, so as to refine the IQA system and prepare as well as possible for self-assessment, external assessment and alignment with international sets of standards.
The training course also featured the participation and practical experience sharing of a speaker from the University of Information Technology, Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City, on the process of organising and operating an internal quality assurance (IQA) system and on activities of self-assessment, external assessment and international accreditation.
After 2 days of active work, the training course concluded successfully, marking the start of a series of subsequent training activities and the rollout of HUFLIT’s quality assurance work.

Delivering the opening remarks of the training course, Dr. Nguyen Anh Tuan – Rector affirmed: Quality assurance is a matter of survival for higher education institutions, especially in the current period of digital transformation. He asked that during the training, the University’s staff, lecturers and specialists focus on listening, analysing and exchanging views with the experts in order to strengthen quality assurance capacity in the coming period.
