The Faculty of Foreign Languages at HUFLIT “Ignites” the Teaching Profession for Major StudentsRecently, the Faculty of Foreign Languages organized the first professional skills seminar for students in the 2025–2026 academic year under the theme “From the Classroom to the Teaching Podium.” The program was not only a career-sharing session but also opened a profound narrative about the educational journey—exploring choices, commitment, and sustaining passion for the teaching profession in the context of modern education.

For most of the program, Teikyo students participated in specialized English classes with students majoring in English, HUFLIT Foreign Languages.

Especially during the weekend of March 2 and 3, the Teikyo group including 1 professor and 8 students also learned more about the culture and history of Vietnam through an eco-tour to explore the Mekong Delta in Tien Giang and Ben Tre as well as to understand more about the heroic history of the Vietnamese people’s struggle for independence at Cu Chi Tunnels.

At the end of March 8, the foreign affairs specialist of the Foreign Affairs – Korean – General Affairs Department and students of the Faculty of Oriental Languages and Cultures invited Teikyo students to a friendly dinner at Landmark 81 – the tallest building in Vietnam, before saying goodbye to them and returning to Japan.

The 2-week short-term study program for Teikyo students has ended but will certainly become an unforgettable memory not only for Teikyo University students but also for HUFLIT students and lecturers. Hopefully, the program can create a premise for more cooperation opportunities between the two schools.
