Real-world experience in a professional party space

The practice session was designed in the form of a simulated New Year party with the theme “Khởi Sắc”. Students were assigned to different departments, directly taking on roles in the event organisation and operation process. This approach helps learners not only participate as guests but also clearly understand the organisational structure, coordination process and individual responsibility in external-relations activities.

Besides, students were required to focus on their personal image through choosing attire suited to the nature of the event. This is an important preparation step to form awareness of the standards of communication and manner in the professional environment.

Under the guidance of MA. Trương Thị Lê Hồng, the students directly practised professional skills such as welcoming guests, exchanging business cards, arranging seating, as well as the rules of using the banquet-utensil set. The session fully recreated the context of a corporate event, creating conditions for students to observe, practise and receive direct feedback from the lecturer.

Setting up the banquet table helps students practise in reality

According to MA. Trương Thị Lê Hồng, firmly grasping the reception rules does not only stop at banquet-table etiquette but is also a way of showing respect for partners, contributing to building personal image and the organisation’s reputation. “Through the practice process, students step by step form a professional bearing and the mettle necessary in formal communication situations,” Ms. Hồng added.

The practice session closed in a positive and connected atmosphere, bringing many real-world experiences that help students enhance teamwork skills, adaptability and confidence in external-relations activities. Not only consolidating the knowledge learned, the programme also contributes to training flexible thinking, a proactive spirit and mettle when stepping into the real working environment. Thereby, it continues to affirm HUFLIT’s practice-tied training orientation, aiming at developing students comprehensively, ready to integrate in the context of the modern professional environment.
