HUFLIT Spring Volunteer Campaign 2026 – A Mark of Responsibility and the Dedication Spirit of the Youth

In the bustling atmosphere of the days near the Lunar New Year of Binh Ngo 2026, the HUFLIT Spring Volunteer Campaign 2026 organised by the Youth Union – Student Association of Ho Chi Minh City University of Foreign Languages – Information Technology (HUFLIT) officially took place from 17/01/2026 to 02/02/2026.

With the orientation of connecting volunteer activities with practical needs, the HUFLIT Spring Volunteer Campaign 2026 was organised in many areas across the city, including: HUFLIT, Hoa Hung ward, Phu Thanh ward, Binh Tri Dong ward, Tan Hoa ward, Binh Tan ward, Tan Son Hoa ward, Tan Son Nhat ward and Hoc Mon commune, creating a wide-reaching spread both inside and outside the school.

The campaign recorded the participation of large numbers of soldiers across the school along with HUFLIT students, the support from the School Council, the Party Committee – Board of Rectors, and Staff – Lecturers in the school, creating a youthful, dynamic volunteer force rich in the spirit of dedication. With thorough preparation, tight organisation and effectively mobilised resources, the HUFLIT Spring Volunteer Campaign 2026 continues to affirm the vanguard role of HUFLIT students in social-welfare, traditional-education and civilised-community-building activities.

Continuing that spirit, the HUFLIT Spring Volunteer Campaign 2026 was implemented with many key contents, revolving around 04 main activities: Soldier’s Spring, Sharing Spring, Proud Spring and Civilised Tet, creating a continuous journey harmoniously combining traditional education, social welfare and preserving national cultural values.

Within the framework of the Soldier’s Spring programme, the campaign was launched with the “Sea and Island Journey” programme at Thanh An island commune on 17/01/2026, aiming at the “Soldier’s Spring” peak day and the 58th anniversary of the 1968 Tet Mau Than General Offensive and Uprising. The activity not only creates conditions for students to access reality about the homeland’s seas and islands but also contributes to forging revolutionary ideals, improving the political mettle and sense of responsibility of the youth in the new period.

Continuing that flow of gratitude, the Campaign Command Board organised visits to war veterans and Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, thereby deeply spreading the ethic of “When drinking water, remember the source” among union members and students. Along with the direct activities, the campaign implemented 90 online communication publications about the love for seas and islands, propagandising “Civilised Tet” and celebrating the success of the Party Congress, contributing to expanding the spread on digital space. At the same time, the activities “Journey to the red mark” and the visit to the Traditional Site of the 1968 Tet Mau Than General Offensive and Uprising continue to help students consolidate historical knowledge, build up national pride and a sense of responsibility towards the community.

Tied to the spirit of compassion and social responsibility, the content of the Sharing Spring programme was implemented through specific, practical actions rich in community meaning. The voluntary blood-donation festival held on 19/01/2026 attracted 300 students to participate, receiving 177 units of blood – the “rosy drops” given away at the time near Tet, contributing to supplementing the blood source serving emergency and treatment work. Not stopping at the numbers, the activity also spreads the message of living responsibly and the spirit of mutual affection among HUFLIT students.

Continuing the sharing journey, over 02 days, 23 and 24/01/2026, 150 students together wrapped and gave 150 banh chung to difficult circumstances, conveying the traditional Tet flavour along with warm new-year wishes. In parallel, the Command Board coordinated with the Political – Student Affairs Office to organise the “Student Reunion – Celebrating Binh Ngo Spring 2026” programme to care for students in difficult circumstances to enjoy a warm and well-fed Tet season; coordinated with Cao Thang Technical College, the Central College of Pedagogy in HCMC and the HCMC Preparatory University to carry out the Colourful Bus – A Journey of Love bringing Central-region students home to celebrate Tet, helping them reduce the burden of travel costs and have the conditions to return to reunite with their families after a hard year of study and work; organised a programme to visit Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, give gifts to children and participate in the “Solidarity Spring – Compassionate Tet” Festival of Ho Chi Minh City, continuing to extend the Tet-care activities, contributing to bringing a more fulfilling spring to the community.

In parallel with the community activities, the content of the Proud Spring programme blew into the Tet atmosphere at HUFLIT a spring hue rich in national identity. The fan-decoration programme “Spring Colours across the Regions of the Fatherland” with the participation of 200 students is not only an artistic-creation activity but also an occasion for HUFLIT youth to recreate the image of spring tied to regional culture, from the yellow apricot blossom of the South to the pink peach blossom of the North.

In addition, the calligraphy-writing activity attracted 300 students to participate, contributing to arousing traditional values in modern life. The graceful ink strokes are not simply artistic products but also convey a message about preserving the roots, about cultural pride continued through each generation of students.

With the orientation of building a civilised living environment, the Civilised Tet content was concretised by the wall-painting activity series “Painting Digital Spring – Colouring Life” taking place from 22/01/2026 to 31/01/2026 with the participation of 150 HUFLIT students. From the colour patches and creative lines of HUFLIT youth, the 6m x 2.8m painting was gradually completed, not only contributing to brightening the appearance of the surrounding space but also conveying a message about a positive lifestyle, a sense of responsibility and the aspiration to contribute for the community.

Closing the campaign is the political-activity and exchange programme “A Time of Youth” on 02/02/2026, where the soldiers together look back on the past journey and share memorable experiences. With 15 activities implemented synchronously, 177 units of blood received, 150 banh chung given away along with 90 communication publications carried out, the HUFLIT Spring Volunteer Campaign 2026 not only completed the set goals but also affirmed the spirit of mettle, compassion and readiness to act for the community of HUFLIT students in the first days of the new year.

With a journey of more than 02 weeks full of effort and inspiration, the HUFLIT Spring Volunteer Campaign 2026 not only left a mark with impressive numbers or meaningful projects and gifts, but more importantly sowed in the heart of each soldier the spirit of responsibility, kindness and pride in being able to contribute. Each activity became a memorable milestone, where the youth learn to share, empathise and live more idealistically amid the community.

From the return-to-the-source trips, the rosy drops of blood given away, the banh chung warm with compassion to the wall paintings brilliant with Spring Colours, all contributed to portraying the image of HUFLIT students as dynamic, resilient and rich in compassion. The HUFLIT Spring Volunteer Campaign 2026 is not only a campaign but a journey to forge life values and arouse the youth’s aspiration to serve, so that each spring that passes leaves lasting values for the community and for the very growth journey of HUFLIT students.
