On the first day of school, Ren got to know his teachers and members of the 7SEC English Club – who helped Ren a lot during his time studying at HUFLIT.
M.A. Nguyen Thi Thieu – Head of Foreign Affairs Department gave Ren a HUFLIT backpack with the wish that he would study well and have a great experience during the 2 weeks at HUFLIT.
During most of the program, Ren Uchikune participated in specialized English classes with students of the English Language Department, HUFLIT Foreign Language Faculty. At the same time, Ren also participated in sightseeing tours and learned more about the culture and history of Vietnam through famous tourist destinations in and outside Ho Chi Minh City such as: War Remnants Museum, Independence Palace, Ben Thanh Market, exploring the Mekong Delta in Tien Giang and Ben Tre as well as understanding more about the heroic history of the Vietnamese people’s struggle for independence at Cu Chi Tunnels.

In addition to learning and cultural exchange activities, Ren Uchikune also followed the lecturers of the Japanese language department, the Faculty of Oriental Languages and Cultures to visit Japanese companies or companies mainly exporting to the Japanese market such as Nhat Viet Production and Investment Trading Co., Ltd. (Thu Dau Mot, Binh Duong) and Vietnam SUZUKI Co., Ltd. (Tan Binh District, Ho Chi Minh City). Here, Ren not only learned about the business lines, activities, and working environment of the companies but also talked with the directors and founders.

On the afternoon of March 14, before saying goodbye to Ren Uchikune and returning to Japan, HUFLIT held an intimate ceremony to award certificates of completion of the 2-week study program at HUFLIT.
Sharing at the ceremony to award the certificate of completion of the study program at HUFLIT, Ms. Bui Thi Thanh Truc – Head of the Faculty of Foreign Languages congratulated Ren Uchikune on completing the program as well as having memorable experiences in Vietnam. In response, Ren also sent his thanks to the teachers and students of HUFLIT for helping him wholeheartedly during the past 2 weeks, not only in studying but also in daily activities and exchanges.

The 2-week short-term study program for Teikyo students at HUFLIT is an agreement between the two schools to help students of the Faculty of Economics of Teikyo University learn about Vietnamese culture and improve their English skills.
