Chinese Language students attend Taiwan Education, Culture and Scholarship Information Program

Taiwan scholarship, education and culture information program organized by the Foreign Affairs Department in coordination with the Taipei Office in Ho Chi Minh City

Attending the program, on HUFLIT’s side, there was the presence of M.A. Nguyen Thi Thieu, Head of Foreign Affairs Department, M.A. Dang Thi Hue Tran, Deputy Dean of Foreign Languages ​​Faculty and teachers from the Chinese Language Department.

On behalf of the Taipei Office in Ho Chi Minh City, there were Dr. Chen, Ho-Hsien (Tran Hoa Hien) – Education Counselor, Head of the Education Department, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh i – Senior Specialist of the Education Department and Mr. Truong Chi Cuong – Education Assistant.

At the beginning of the program, Mr. Tran Hoa Hien briefly introduced Taiwan’s education and said that Taiwan’s high-tech companies are very developed, ranked among the top in the world and will invest in Vietnam in the near future. Therefore, he encouraged Vietnamese students to study in Taiwan so that after completing their studies, they can return to Vietnam to work immediately.

True to its name, the program provided useful information about Taiwanese culture and education; information about Chinese language scholarships, full scholarships for postgraduate studies; notes when registering for scholarships and the Summer Camp Program for students. A few words about the scholarships administered by the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Ho Chi Minh City: The application period is from January to March every year with the scholarship amounting to about 30,000 NTD/month (about 24,000,000 VND, including living expenses and scholarship) lasting 4 years for undergraduate, 2 years for master’s, 4 years for doctorate; with the Chinese language scholarship amounting to 25,000 NTD/month (about 20,000,000 VND).
