HUFLIT students participating in the international transfer program, completing 50% of credits at HUFLIT and the remaining 50% of credits at Griffith University (Australia), will receive an international Bachelor’s degree awarded by Griffith University.

The program was a great success and attracted the attention of students from many faculties in the school

This is one of many important contents shared at the meeting with representatives of Griffith University (GU) – top 2% of universities globally according to the Times Higher Education University Rankings 2022.

This is an opportunity for students to be well prepared in the early stages of studying at HUFLIT, reduce study abroad costs and receive degrees from prestigious foreign universities. In particular, HUFLITers have the opportunity to receive scholarships of up to 50% of tuition fees (equivalent to 16,000  AUD) depending on their academic ability and foreign language proficiency.

To participate in the program, in addition to completing 50% of the credits at HUFLIT, students also need to meet the foreign language requirements. This can be considered an advantage for HUFLITers when Griffith requires the level of students nominated by HUFLIT to be IELTS 6.0, while for students registering independently, this number is IELTS 6.5.

In addition to the Bachelor of Tourism and Travel Services Management program jointly held by HUFLIT and GU, the Double Degree program is also of interest to HUFLIT students and has received many questions. This program allows students to pursue two different majors and receive two university degrees at the same time from GU, helping students develop comprehensively and enhance their competitiveness in the eyes of employers.

In addition, the Foreign Affairs Department also invited representatives from SET Education and Training Consulting Services Joint Stock Company (SET Study Abroad) to answer all students’ questions about visa procedures and costs. This is a study abroad company system with nearly 20 years of experience in the field of education and training, study abroad recruitment and is very strong in the Australian study abroad market (with a system of offices in 4 major cities of Australia: Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Adelaide). With the support of SET Study Abroad, HUFLITers can rest assured that student support will not only stop in Vietnam but also connecting information in Australia will be convenient and quick.

It can be said that the information sharing session about studying abroad and scholarships at Griffith University is a great opportunity for HUFLIT students to learn more about study programs in Australia and attractive scholarship opportunities.

At the HUFLIT Faculty of Foreign Languages, M.A. Tran My Uyen (Vice Dean) goes by many names. Some call her “Ms My”; her students call her “mother”. Colleagues often compare her to Mother Au Co with a hundred children. Yet to become the “mother” of the lecture hall she is today, she went through a profound shift in thinking that completely changed a teaching philosophy built over more than 30 years.
