More Career Opportunities for HUFLITers with a Cooperation Agreement with National Geographic Learning
The Faculty of Foreign Languages at Ho Chi Minh City University of Foreign Languages and Information Technology (HUFLIT) held a signing ceremony for a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Faculty of Foreign Languages and National Geographic Learning, a division of CENGAGE.
Attending the ceremony, representing National Geographic Learning were Mr. Michael Cahill – Senior Director of NGL Asia Pacific, Ms. Nguyen Thi Cam Van – Higher Education Consultant of National Geographic Learning in Vietnam, and Ms. Ha Do Nguyen Tho Trang – Senior Business Director of NGL in Vietnam. On the HUFLIT side were Dr. Nguyen Anh Tuan – University President, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thieu – Head of the Department of International Relations, and Ms. Tran My Uyen – Vice Dean of the Faculty of Foreign Languages.
During the meeting, Dr. Nguyen Anh Tuan – University President provided an overview of HUFLIT, emphasizing the university’s strategic goals and its commitment to improving the quality of training. Mr. Michael Cahill shared National Geographic Learning’s activities, strategies, and priority policies in Vietnam for the upcoming time. He also expressed his desire to contribute to the development of HUFLIT in general and the Faculty of Foreign Languages in particular.
According to the signed agreement, National Geographic Learning will provide English teaching materials for HUFLIT, offer professional development workshops for lecturers, provide career counseling for students, recruit personnel, and offer HUFLIT’s Foreign Language students access to recruitment opportunities, among other things.
The meeting took place in a cordial and friendly atmosphere. Both parties expressed their hope for a long-term and successful partnership within the framework of the agreement.
