“Language Melody 2025”: A Perfect 10 Seasons, A Complete Love for Language and Music
Starting in 2007, when language first resonated through melodies, “Language Melody – The Melody of Language” gradually affirmed its position as one of the language and music platforms for students of universities, colleges, vocational schools, and high schools across Ho Chi Minh City.
In 2025, “Language Melody” enters its 10th season, concluding its emotional journey with an explosive Finale night at the 6th-floor Hall, where cultural hues are vividly expressed through music in four languages: English, Korean, Chinese, and Japanese. Not only a stage for showing talent, the program also opens a space to share emotions, connect souls, and spread passion for languages to every heart.
A multilingual, multi-emotion, multi-color art playground
With this return, the contest “Language Melody – The Melody of Language” brings the themes “Love” and “Sing with your heart – Play with your soul.” Following the spirit of previous seasons, the Organizing Committee invests meticulously in musical quality and stage production, offering an artistic space where contestants freely express language ability combined with melody to tell musically rich and emotional stories.
From gentle love songs to dynamic, fiery pieces, each performance contains the devotion of the performer. It is precisely this diversity and identity that contribute to making the night complete: both explosive passion and deep emotion — true to the spirit of connecting emotions through language and music that the program has always pursued.
With over 100 registrations from high school students to university and college students in Ho Chi Minh City, the Preliminary Round held on 18, 19, and 20 April 2025 attracted significant interest right from the start. The lively atmosphere in the first selection round partly reflected the strong appeal of the contest as well as the enthusiasm and dedication of the contestants toward this carefully and formally organized language art playground.
When love resounds through youth’s language and melody
After the Preliminary Round, contestants advanced to the next stage, randomly paired and required to perform a song provided by the Organizers. Twenty-seven outstanding contestants delivered very impressive performances at the Semi-final night held on 28 May 2025
After the dramatic Semi-finals, the Top 12 contestants were officially revealed and embarked on the journey to conquer the Finale night at the 6th-floor Hall, Su Van Hanh campus, with performances prepared meticulously and creatively.
True to audience expectations, the Finale night of “Language Melody 2025” delivered an emotional space with a series of performances staged elaborately, delivered by the most outstanding faces of the season. From song selection, collaboration with a live band, to performance style and language skill, all merged to create a musical journey that touched the hearts of the audience and elevated emotions note by note.
“Language Melody 2025” also marks a memorable milestone in its 10-season journey when, for the first time, a contestant from the high school block advanced to the Finale. That was Phạm Vũ Đức Minh — a contestant in the Monolingual block from Marie Curie High School. The participation of a representative from high school not only brought a youthful, passionate breeze but also demonstrated the strong spread of the contest, showing that love for language and music is not limited by age or educational level.
In addition to the 12 main performances by talented contestants, this year’s Finale Night was even more special with the return of past contestants who left their marks in previous seasons: Anh Ủ Đăng Khoa — Champion of the Monolingual block 2021, and Nguyễn Đoàn Hiền Thục — Second Runner-up of the Multilingual block 2023. Their emotive combined performance not only added an explosive atmosphere to the stage but also delivered a meaningful message: every contestant today can continue writing their own musical journey from this very playground.
Sharing at the Finale night, M.A. Huỳnh Quang Thái — vocal music judge — stated: “My first impression was how meticulously everything was organized, from reception to the end of the program. Though it is just a department event, I see your carefulness. The quality of contestants is too good; almost all participants are at excellent level.”
Each song was chosen and arranged skillfully to convey the identity, spirit, and color of each culture, from melody, language to costumes and performance style. That subtle combination helped the audience not only enjoy the music but also sense cultural depth and respect for each country’s unique values, creating a complete and emotionally rich artistic experience.
With 12 performances from talented contestants, the Judges selected outstanding individuals for awards:
– Most Favorite Performance: Contestant Mai Gia Bảo – “Creep”

The journey of “Language Melody 2025” has ended, but the journey of music, passion, and dreams continues. From the first season, the Youth Union & Student Association of the Faculty of International Relations & Communication (formerly the Faculty of International Relations) organized it with a simple dream: to create a stage for hearts that love language and music to speak. Today, the program has become a large artistic family, gathering generations of contestants, audiences, and companions sharing a belief in the power of borderless music. Its 10th season will mark the beginning of a new inspiring path, continuing to spread humanitarian values and connect hearts through music and language.
