1. Program Highlights

In-depth specialization in Japanese and Korean Studies
Students choose one of two tracks for a comprehensive study of the country’s language, culture, society, history, economy, and politics.

Graduates of HUFLIT’s Oriental Studies program will be able to:

HUFLIT’s Oriental Studies program adopts five modern teaching approaches:

4. Curriculum Overview

Oriental Studies focuses on exploring and analyzing the cultures, histories, languages, religions, philosophies, and arts of Eastern nations — including Japan, Korea, East Asia, and Southeast Asia. The goal is to promote cross-cultural understanding and global collaboration.

At HUFLIT, students may specialize in:

  • Korean Studies: An in-depth program exploring Korean culture, history, social systems, and language. Courses are grouped into two orientations: Administration & Office Management and Culture & Tourism.

  • Japanese Studies: A comprehensive track combining Japanese language proficiency with insights into Japanese culture, economy, and politics. Courses are also divided into Administration & Office Management and Culture & Tourism.
