At the program, students had the opportunity to interact and learn from two experienced speakers. Master Dinh Ngoc Long – a familiar teacher to HUFLIT students, is also CFO at Yose.vn, Founder & Managing Director of Big Life Investment JSC and a startup consultant since 2018. He is currently the Head of the English Department of the Faculty of Economics – Finance.
Along with that is the appearance of Mr. Phan Hoang Quan – an experienced expert in the field of consulting and planning personal and business finances. Mr. Quan is currently the Head of Sales at Thanh Cong Fund Management Company (TCAM), and also has a Bachelor of Finance – Banking from the University of Wales.
The program highlighted the core mindsets for students to “survive” and thrive in a volatile business environment. The speaker emphasized that starting a business requires not only good ideas but also perseverance and “thick skin” – seemingly simple but extremely essential qualities.
In addition, building a solid financial strategy, especially the ability to maintain operations for at least the first 6 months without revenue, is considered a key factor to overcome the initial difficult period.
Notably, the speakers also did not hesitate to discuss the “difficult” problem of cooperating with relatives, friends or lovers when starting a business. This is both an opportunity to take advantage of close resources, and a challenge when emotions easily influence business decisions – therefore, each choice needs to be carefully considered to avoid unnecessary cracks.
The speaker affirmed that failure is not the end, but a valuable “documentary” that helps young people grow and become more confident in their next steps. By clearly understanding competitive advantages , entrepreneurs can take advantage of opportunities to overcome difficulties. Students are encouraged to equip themselves with professional knowledge, practical experience and the ability to seize opportunities to confidently make solid decisions. In particular, the speakers have high expectations for the GenZ generation – those who possess the “three treasures” of health, time and unlimited creativity. That is a solid foundation to start the entrepreneurial journey with a proactive and ambitious mindset.
Another special point emphasized by the two speakers is soft skills, including the ability to build and maintain relationships . This is a fundamental factor that helps students develop an effective startup network, thereby creating potential cooperation opportunities and building a sustainable career.
The atmosphere of the program gradually became more exciting when there was a special performance by the 1st Runner-up Miss HUFLIT 2025 – Nguyen Thi Thuy Linh , creating a vibrant atmosphere for the program. The inspirational music performance blended with the startup message, bringing a positive atmosphere, adding strong energy.
The program ended with many valuable lessons for students. First , patience and courage in facing challenges, seeing failure as an essential part of growing up. Second, students need to know how to take advantage of personal advantages such as health, creativity and time to develop themselves. Third, building and maintaining relationships is an indispensable factor in the startup environment. Finally, the optimism and positive energy that the program brings is a strong source of inspiration, encouraging students to be more confident in their journey to pursue their passion and dreams.
The talkshow “Entrepreneurial Thinking” has left a deep impression and practical value on students, strongly inspiring young people to be ready to face challenges and explore their own potential. Through the sharing session, the Youth Union – Association – Association of the Faculty of Economics and Finance hopes that the knowledge and inspiration from the program will be valuable assets, accompanying you on the path to success.
