In the era of information explosion, how can students not only stay updated on international news but also gain deep understanding and accurate perspectives? The special report session “Approaching International News through Tuoi Tre News” provided a compelling answer through the dedicated insights of veteran journalist Nguyen Thanh Liem.

The special report session “Approaching International News through Tuoi Tre News” was organized to help students enhance their skills in accessing, analyzing, and selecting international information effectively, thereby developing critical thinking and the ability to evaluate global issues from multiple perspectives.

With over 35 years of experience in international news, including 24 years at Tuổi Trẻ Newspaper, journalist Nguyễn Thanh Liêm has served as an editor and Head of the International Section, and currently holds the position of Editorial Secretary, overseeing international news and Tuổi Trẻ’s online platform. The speaker graduated from the Lille School of Journalism (France) and brings extensive experience ranging from field reporting to newsroom editing, covering both Vietnamese-language news and English-language portals.

He also shared how reputable newsrooms, including Tuoi Tre News, handle and report international news according to principles of objectivity and accuracy, ensuring the Vietnamese perspective is represented and all information is thoroughly verified before publication.
