Possessing the most outstanding achievement among the students participating in the exchange program, Nguyen Ngo Thuan, a student majoring in Japanese Studies, Faculty of Oriental Languages ​​and Cultures HUFLIT, was honored to represent the entire course to speak at the closing ceremony.

Recently, Kobe International University (KIU), Japan held the closing ceremony of the International Programs Semester II, 2022, including the Japanese Language Program and the Student Exchange Program. The ceremony was held again after 3 years of having to be held online due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Attending the ceremony were Nguyen Ngo Thuan (Japanese Studies major, Faculty of Oriental Languages ​​and Cultures, participating in the exchange program at KIU from April 2022) and Nguyen Thi Thu Hoai (Japanese Studies major, Faculty of Oriental Languages ​​and Cultures, participating in the self-funded Japanese language program from April 2021). With the best achievement among the students participating in the exchange program, Thuan was honored to represent the entire course to speak at the ceremony. Thuan shared: “The studies on Japanese society learned at KIU have taught me how to approach social issues at many different levels and angles, thereby understanding myself better, about the connection between people in society.”

Thuan also conveyed his belief in a new journey beginning to all the students present at the ceremony: “In the journey of life, there will be times when you have to make choices, but don’t be afraid to make decisions, but be confident and happy to move forward. I believe that everyone can find their true self“.

In addition to the school curriculum, Thuan and other students also visited Himeji Castle, experienced skiing and participated in the Japanese Speech Contest.

Although he did not win any prizes, Thuan gained many valuable memories and experiences

The Student Exchange Program is implemented under an agreement between HUFLIT and partner schools with the desire to give students the opportunity to experience the learning environment in other countries. Participating in the program, HUFLIT students are completely exempted from tuition and admission fees at the partner school, and are given a transcript after completing the program; at the same time, the results of studying abroad are considered for credit transfer back to HUFLIT if they are equivalent to the subjects in the program at HUFLIT.
