HUFLIT Students Actively Study and Train in the HUFLIT Youth Week of Studying and Following Uncle Ho’s Teachings 2026

The series of activities not only created an environment for HUFLIT students to raise their political awareness and cultivate revolutionary ideals but also contributed to spreading the sense of responsibility, the awareness of self-training and the aspiration to contribute of youth in the new period.

Opening the series of activities in the HUFLIT Youth Week of Studying and Following Uncle Ho’s Teachings 2026, on the morning of 17/5/2026, the Youth Union Admission Ceremony marking the 136th anniversary of the birth of President Ho Chi Minh (19/5/1890 – 19/5/2026) took place at the Ho Chi Minh Cultural Space, the Lobby on the 6th floor, Sư Vạn Hạnh campus (HUFLIT).

The Youth Union Admission Ceremony took place in a solemn, meaningful atmosphere; the University Youth Union conferred the Youth Union Admission Resolution and the Certificate of Completion of the Youth Union Sympathiser class on 200 HUFLIT young people. The ceremony is a milestone marking the growth of the outstanding young people on the journey of striving and contributing under the flag of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union.

Alongside in-person activities, on the online space, the University Youth Union also promoted political and ideological education through 02 online contests: the contest “Exploring Marxism-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh Thought” and the storytelling contest on the moral example of Ho Chi Minh “Uncle Forever in Our Hearts”.

The contests attracted nearly 2,000 students to take part, showing the interest and active response of union members and students in exploring the ideological, moral and stylistic values of Ho Chi Minh. This is also proof of the effectiveness of political and ideological education work, contributing to making studying and following Uncle Ho’s teachings closer and more vivid for the young generation.

Over nearly 01 week of deployment, many outstanding faces were recognised through quality entries, demonstrating serious investment, the ability to apply knowledge and sincere feelings about the life, career and moral example of President Ho Chi Minh. The results achieved not only contributed to the success of the programme but also strongly spread the spirit of study, training and contribution among HUFLIT union members and students.

Not stopping there, the University Youth Union continued to organise the Opening Ceremony of the thematic Exhibition “President Ho Chi Minh – The Mark of a Great Man”, creating a visual educational space that helps union members and students access more deeply the life, career and ideological values that Uncle Ho left behind.

The ceremony took place in a solemn atmosphere with the participation of a representative of the City’s Youth Union Work and Youth and Children Movement Board, the University’s leaders, teachers and a large number of HUFLIT union members and students.

On this occasion, the University Party Committee also commended the collectives and individuals classified as “Excellently Completing Their Tasks” in 2025, recognising the positive contributions in professional work, Party building and University development.

The thematic exhibition “President Ho Chi Minh – The Mark of a Great Man” introduces many precious images and materials about the life and revolutionary career of President Ho Chi Minh; it also displays the outstanding achievements of Ho Chi Minh City in recent times. Through that, the exhibition contributes to spreading historical values and national traditions, cultivating patriotism, revolutionary ideals and the spirit of studying and following the thought, morality and style of Ho Chi Minh among HUFLIT union members and students.

Through the vivid and historically valuable displayed content, the exhibition not only helps union members and students better understand the life, thought and great career of President Ho Chi Minh but also contributes to raising awareness, cultivating revolutionary ideals and awakening the sense of responsibility of youth in study, training and contribution to the community.

Continuing that series of meaningful activities was the Ceremony Marking the 136th Anniversary of the Birth of President Ho Chi Minh (19/5/1890 – 19/5/2026) and the Commendation of “Advanced Youth Following Uncle Ho’s Teachings” at HUFLIT for the 2024–2025 academic year. The ceremony took place in a solemn atmosphere, with the participation of the University’s leaders, teachers and a large number of HUFLIT union members and students. This was not only an occasion to remember and express deep gratitude to the beloved President Ho Chi Minh – the great leader of the nation, but also an opportunity, but also an occasion to honour the typical collectives and individuals in study and training.

At the ceremony, the University Party Committee commended 07 collectives and 16 individuals working and studying at the University for their outstanding achievements in studying and following the thought, morality and style of Ho Chi Minh in 2026.

Next, the University Youth Union commended 30 collectives and 282 individuals who achieved the title “Advanced Youth Following Uncle Ho’s Teachings” at HUFLIT in 2026. This is recognition of the unceasing efforts of union members and students in study, movement activities, Youth Union – Student Association work and the spirit of living responsibly towards the community.

The title “Advanced Youth Following Uncle Ho’s Teachings” is not only recognition of the outstanding efforts and achievements of union members and students in study, training and participation in movement activities, but also a source of motivation for HUFLIT youth to continue striving and perfecting themselves according to the good values that President Ho Chi Minh left behind. Through that, it contributes to spreading typical examples, inspiring a sense of responsibility, the will to rise and the aspiration to contribute in the HUFLIT student community.

In order to continue raising political awareness and cultivating the mettle and civic responsibility of students, the University Youth Union organised the thematic report “Studying and Following the Thought, Morality and Style of Ho Chi Minh on the Pure International Spirit”, for union members and students studying at the University.

At the report, Lieutenant General Phạm Văn Dỹ – former Party Committee Secretary and Political Commissar of Military Region 7 – brought union members and students much useful knowledge and profound practical stories about the thought, morality and style of Ho Chi Minh; he especially emphasised the spirit of international solidarity, the love of peace and the responsibility of the young generation in preserving and promoting those good values in today’s era.

The reporter also emphasised that the pure international spirit must always be tied to genuine patriotism, national pride and a sense of responsibility towards the homeland and the country. From there, each union member and student needs to continuously study, train themselves, promote the spirit of solidarity and integration while still preserving the cultural identity and good traditional values of the Vietnamese nation.

Closing the HUFLIT Youth Week of Studying and Following Uncle Ho’s Teachings 2026 was the thematic report “Studying and Following the Thought, Morality and Style of Ho Chi Minh on the Spirit of Great National Solidarity”, for the team of Youth Union – Student Association officers at all levels.

The thematic report took place in a lively and close atmosphere under the guidance of Dr Đặng Văn Khoa – Political Theory Reporter of the Central Youth Union. Through historical stories, vivid documentary images and many meaningful examples tied to the life and revolutionary career of President Ho Chi Minh, the Youth Union – Student Association officers had the opportunity to approach the theme in a more visual, understandable and profound way.

The reporter emphasised that Ho Chi Minh’s thought on great national solidarity always plays a particularly important role in the cause of building and defending the country. The core of that thought is summed up in Uncle Ho’s famous teaching: “Solidarity, solidarity, great solidarity – Success, success, great success”. This is not only a lesson of historical value but also a guiding compass for the young generation in building the collective spirit, promoting the strength of solidarity and community responsibility in the new era.

Through the thematic report, Youth Union – Student Association officers at all levels not only consolidated their knowledge but also raised their awareness of the role of the spirit of solidarity in study, work and movement activities. The programme also contributed to widely spreading the studying and following of the thought, morality and style of Ho Chi Minh among union members and students throughout the University.

Spreading good values from studying and following Uncle Ho’s teachings

After more than a week of lively activity, the HUFLIT Youth Week of Studying and Following Uncle Ho’s Teachings 2026 closed with many meaningful marks. Through a diverse, practical and educationally valuable series of activities, HUFLIT union members and students were not only equipped with more knowledge about the thought, morality and style of Ho Chi Minh but also had the opportunity to look more deeply at the responsibility of youth towards themselves, the community and the country.

Each activity is a vivid lesson, contributing to cultivating revolutionary ideals, awakening the spirit of patriotism, the sense of contribution and the aspiration to rise in the young generation of HUFLIT. This is also the motivation for union members and students to continue promoting their pioneering, vanguard role, unceasingly studying, training and spreading good values, contributing to building a dynamic, humane and identity-rich educational environment at HUFLIT.
