With the goal of improving the quality of training programs as well as expanding international cooperation relationships, on the afternoon of September 16, 2019, Ho Chi Minh City University of Foreign Languages ​​- Information Technology (HUFLIT) signed a Transfer Program Agreement – officially becoming the first Vietnamese partner to implement a transfer program with Ibaraki Christian University (IC), Japan.

Attending the signing ceremony were Prof. Hiroshi Shoji – Principal, Mr. Azuma Takenori – Deputy Head of the Department of Training and Student Affairs and Mr. Fukuyama Atsushi – Specialist of the Department of International Cooperation of Ibaraki Christian University. On HUFLIT’s side, there were Dr. Tran Thanh Nhan – Vice Principal in charge, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thieu – Head of the Department of Foreign Affairs – General Affairs – Administration, Dr. Tran Van Tieng – Head of the Department of Oriental Languages ​​and Cultures, Mr. Phan Tan Anh Phong – Lecturer of the Department of Japanese Studies and Foreign Affairs Specialist.

According to the Transfer Program Agreement that the two schools have signed, each year, IC will accept 3 HUFLIT students to study in the 3rd year in the majors of Multicultural Studies, Contemporary English and Business Administration. In particular, Ibaraki Christian University also has incentives exclusively for HUFLIT students such as exemption from entrance exam fees, up to 50% reduction in tuition fees when participating in the transfer program and if students achieve good academic performance during their time studying at Ibaraki Christian, they will receive a subsidy of 80,000 Yen/month.

After the solemn signing ceremony of the Cooperation Agreement, professors from Ibaraki Christian University also held a seminar for students of Japanese Studies, Faculty of Oriental Languages ​​and Cultures HUFLIT. Here, Mr. Azuma Takenori introduced Japan and Ibaraki Christian University as well as the advantages of studying at this school. In the main part of the seminar, Mr. Azuma introduced the transfer program as well as advised on the application documents for students who wish to participate in the program. In addition, if students had any questions, the IC professors also answered them enthusiastically.

Thus, after 9 years of implementing the exchange program with 18 participating students, officially becoming the first Vietnamese partner to implement the transfer program with Ibaraki Christian University has shown that HUFLIT always tries to gradually improve the quality of training and learning for its students in accordance with the core values ​​​​”SOLIDARITY – COOPERATION – DISCIPLINE – QUALITY – DEVELOPMENT”.
