HUFLIT Promotes Career Orientation Programs for Gen Z and Specialized Workshops for High School Teachers
The program series was systematically designed to closely address the practical needs of Gen Z students in the context of modern education, harmoniously integrating technology, law, psychology, and life skills.
Last November, HUFLIT Admissions implemented a series of career orientation activities featuring seven thematic sessions for high school students in Ho Chi Minh City, along with one in-depth training workshop designed specifically for high school teachers. Through these programs, HUFLIT not only provided knowledge but also aimed to help students identify potential risks, better understand themselves, and proactively shape their future directions—especially during the critical period leading up to university entrance.
A highlight of the series was the group of themes on Life Skills and Personal Safety, which focused on equipping students with the ability to protect themselves and adapt within both the school environment and the digital space. The session “Internet Safety – Preventing Online Scams and Digital Kidnapping,” delivered by M.A. Cao Tien Thanh, helped students recognize common scam tactics, enhance awareness of personal data protection, and develop skills for handling online situations. In addition, the session “Drug Prevention Education in Schools,” with the participation of M.A. and Lawyer Nguyen Duc Thang Y, offered clear legal perspectives, enabling students to gain an accurate understanding of the harms, consequences, and legal responsibilities related to social evils. Completing this group was the session “Accepting Others and Effective Collaboration,” presented by M.A. Cao Thi Thuy Trang, which contributed to the development of communication skills, teamwork, and the building of a positive learning environment.
At the same time, the group of themes on Psychology and Personal Orientation created a close and supportive sharing space, enabling students to listen to and better understand themselves. Through the session “Teens Talking with Parents and Building Life Goals,” psychologist Nguyen Thanh Huan helped students address barriers in family communication and gradually form long-term goals. The session “Skills for Building Learning Motivation,” delivered by M.A. Cao Thi Thuy Trang, further fostered a proactive mindset, supporting students in developing positive study habits and effective time-management skills.
From the perspective of Career Orientation and Technology, HUFLIT introduced two highly focused and guidance-oriented sessions. “Career Orientation and What You Need to Know” provided students with a more realistic view of career choices, helping them understand the relationship between personal abilities, societal needs, and future development pathways. Meanwhile, the session “Applying AI in Learning,” delivered by Ph.D. Tran Minh Thai and M.A. Nguyen Chuan Nam, introduced modern AI tools, opening new approaches to learning and supporting students in preparing essential skills for the digital era.
Beyond focusing on students, HUFLIT also implemented a professional training session titled “Applying AI in Teaching” for high school teachers. The session aimed to support teachers in updating their technological knowledge, enhancing their ability to integrate AI into instruction, and innovating teaching and learning methods in the context of digital transformation.
HUFLIT’s career orientation activities in November not only provided practical knowledge and skills but also contributed to strengthening students’ confidence in career planning and future preparedness. In the time ahead, HUFLIT will continue to accompany Gen Z through a wide range of career guidance and admissions initiatives, opening up further opportunities for learning, hands-on experience, and self-discovery.
