HUFLIT Faculty of Law Accompanies Students in the Face of Legal Challenges in Cyberspace

Clearly aware of those challenges, the HUFLIT Faculty of Law organised the School Law programme with the theme “Cyberspace safety – The legal responsibility of students in the digital era”. The programme aims to raise awareness of network safety, while also helping students clearly understand their legal rights and obligations when participating in the digital environment.

Equipping knowledge of cybersecurity not only contributes to protecting the individual but also forms a culture of civilised conduct that complies with the law in cyberspace. In the digital-citizen era, understanding of information safety has become an essential skill going hand in hand with expertise, contributing to building a safe, professional and sustainable study and working environment.

This is also one of the outstanding activities in the series of events commemorating the 10th anniversary of the founding of the HUFLIT Faculty of Law (2015–2025), demonstrating the orientation of tying legal training to the practical issues of modern life.

Sharing from Master, Lawyer Lê Viết Kỳ – Lecturer of the HUFLIT Faculty of Law, Deputy Head of the Liên Phương Law Office with many years of experience in law consulting and teaching, especially about cyberspace safety, the speaker helped students understand the importance and the common legal risks in cyberspace. From there, he pointed out the provisions of law related to information security, the use of social media as well as the sanctions for violations.

The programme attracted a large number of students to attend. Many questions were raised surrounding the theme of cybersecurity, privacy and legal responsibility when posting information, showing students’ interest in conducting themselves according to the correct standards on the Internet. The students highly appreciated the theme session for its high applicability and the accessibly presented content.

The School Law programme not only provides legal knowledge but also contributes to building a healthy, safe and modern study environment. This is an important step in the strategy of strengthening legal education for HUFLIT students, especially in the context of the strongly ongoing digital transformation.
