“GenZ Major Insights 2026” – Episode 9: Boundless Journeys with HUFLIT’s Tourism and Hospitality ProgramsMany students choose the Tourism and Hospitality field simply because they love to travel. But passion alone is not enough to pursue this field in the long run. What matters more is understanding the nature of the discipline, its professional requirements, and the qualities needed to grow in a professional service environment.
HUFLIT “BUILDING AND IMPLEMENTING THE OKRs MANAGEMENT SYSTEM”
Throughout the training course, participants were guided on how to define and write OKRs clearly, realistically and measurably. The programme not only provided foundational theory but also focused on practical techniques, helping HUFLIT’s management team readily apply what they learned to implementation work in the near future. Under the guidance of training expert Tran Viet Ha, Human Resources and Training Director at Link Power, participants practised effective OKRs-building methods, ensuring close alignment between the objectives of each individual and unit and the University’s overall development strategy. In addition, soft skills essential to the role of an OKR coach — such as active listening and catalytic questioning — were also emphasised, helping participants not only set objectives but also accompany and support staff in their units throughout the process of achieving them.
Specifically, Link Power delivered to lecturers and staff at Ho Chi Minh City University of Foreign Languages – Information Technology (HUFLIT) the training programme “Building and implementing the OKRs management system”, led directly by Training Expert Ms. Tran Viet Ha on 29 September.
The Training Expert at Link Power is currently Human Resources Director, in charge of the L&D, Human Resources and Administration departments, and concurrently Project Leader for OKRs implementation at Häfele Vietnam, and has been selected to carry out the OKRs implementation plan for countries across Southeast Asia
On the first day of the training programme, the Link Power expert helped participants understand the importance of the OKRs management system and its relationship with business operations and human resources management.
In addition, Ms. Tran Viet Ha gradually led participants into the “world” of this advanced management method, from its components, principles and types of OKRs to Key Results (KRs), the formula for writing OKRs and, finally, the indispensable practice component applied directly to real situations.
On the second day, in-depth, hands-on knowledge helped participants readily build and successfully implement OKRs at Ho Chi Minh City University of Foreign Languages – Information Technology (HUFLIT). Under the guidance of training expert Tran Viet Ha, day 2 of the in-house training programme at HUFLIT delivered key knowledge such as: consistent and close alignment of OKRs throughout the organisation; methods for identifying types of objectives from strategic to unit level; methods for balancing OKRs; methods for setting “early-finish” OKRs that create value. Alongside this, participants also took part in practice on building N-1 level OKRs and identifying types of key results together with evaluation and measurement, continuing to build N-1 level OKRs, and the assignment sequence and OKR review cycle.
After 3 days of training with a wealth of useful, in-depth and hands-on knowledge about OKRs, Link Power officially completed the in-house training programme “Building and implementing the OKRs management system” for Ho Chi Minh City University of Foreign Languages – Information Technology (HUFLIT).
In the “home stretch” of the training programme, Ms. Tran Viet Ha led participants through the following knowledge stages and activities:
- Tiếp tục thực hành xây dựng OKR cấp N-1
- Đánh giá tiến độ triển khai Cadence Review
- Kế hoạch & phân chia vai trò trách nhiệm của các bên tham gia triển khai vận hành OKRs
- Hiểu vận dụng kỹ năng lắng nghe hiệu quả (Appreciative Listening™) dành cho nhà huấn luyện OKR
- Hiểu vận dụng kỹ năng sử dụng câu hỏi xúc tác (Catalytic Questioning™) dành cho nhà huấn luyện OKR
- Hỏi đáp cùng chuyên gia
At the end of the course, participants not only gained a clearer understanding of the OKRs system but were also fully equipped with the skills and tools needed to implement this system effectively at the University.
