Some notes about scholarships: (*) Scholarships have maintenance conditions.

According to the University’s Scholarship regulations, students are considered for multiple scholarships and prioritised to receive the highest scholarship level; scholarship levels are not cumulative.

  • E.g.: If a student registers to study the whole course at the Hóc Môn campus (15% tuition) and qualifies for the NV1 scholarship (50% of semester-1 tuition) => semester 1 of year 1 gets a 50% tuition reduction; the remaining semesters get a 15% reduction.
  • E.g.: A student admitted to NV1 of the Artificial Intelligence programme and studying at Hóc Môn: semester 1 will receive a 50% tuition scholarship; from semester 2 onwards will receive a 20% scholarship (with maintenance conditions); if the student does not meet the maintenance conditions, they will receive the 15% Hóc Môn scholarship.

The scholarship packages cumulative with other scholarships include: the Talented New Student scholarship for those with international certificates; the Connect scholarship.

CONTENT REGULATIONS 2025 AND EARLIER REGULATIONS 2026
1/ Number of preferences No limit on the number of registrations. A maximum of 15 preferences for all rounds.
2/ Order of Pedagogy fields Candidates freely arrange the order. Only considered if placed from order 1 to 5.
3/ Admission method Universities freely offer many methods. Each university uses a maximum of 05 main methods. (Not counting the direct-admission category)
4/ Transcript-score structure Depending on each university’s own regulations. Usually considers 3 semesters or 5 semesters; no compulsory fixed subject.
  • Considers the average score of 6 semesters of grades 10, 11 and 12, with a minimum of three subjects. (Mathematics or Literature is compulsory)
  • The total score on a scale of 30 must not be below 10 points.
  • The total of the three graduation-exam subjects (according to the combination or Mathematics, Literature and one other subject) reaches a minimum of 15/30 points.
5/ Classification of bonus points The general regulation is priority/encouragement points. Bonus points are still a maximum of 3/30 points but the structure is specifically separated:

  • Direct-admission category but not used: 0 – 3 points
  • Special achievements and talents: 0 – 1.5 points
  • Foreign-language certificates or international certificates: 0 – 1.5 points
6/ Conversion of foreign-language certificate scores Advantage with IELTS: Candidates get a “double benefit”: Both converting the score and adding encouragement points.
  • Removing the double advantage: You can only choose to convert the score OR add a maximum of 1.5 encouragement points. (If the university has already converted the certificate score to count towards the admission score, it will not add encouragement points for that certificate.)
  • The conversion of foreign-language certificate scores must have at least 5 difference levels corresponding to the scale of each certificate.

  • Proud to be HUFLITers #07 | M.A. Tran My Uyen – A lectern where a teacher wishes only to “watch her children grow up”
At the HUFLIT Faculty of Foreign Languages, M.A. Tran My Uyen (Vice Dean) goes by many names. Some call her “Ms My”; her students call her “mother”. Colleagues often compare her to Mother Au Co with a hundred children. Yet to become the “mother” of the lecture hall she is today, she went through a profound shift in thinking that completely changed a teaching philosophy built over more than 30 years.
  • New Cybersecurity Regulations: Opportunities for the Cybersecurity Field in the Digital Era
The new cybersecurity regulations taking effect on 1 July 2026 not only help complete the legal framework but also drive demand for talent in cybersecurity. This is also the moment when the discipline becomes a promising choice for young people who love technology and information security.
  • “GenZ Major Insights 2026” – Episode 9: Boundless Journeys with HUFLIT’s Tourism and Hospitality Programs
Many students choose the Tourism and Hospitality field simply because they love to travel. But passion alone is not enough to pursue this field in the long run. What matters more is understanding the nature of the discipline, its professional requirements, and the qualities needed to grow in a professional service environment.
