HUFLIT Principal visits students in Korea – strengthening international relations, improving the quality of learning experience for students

Wishing to listen and share with learners, and at the same time build and maintain positive and sustainable relationships with partner schools, Dr. Nguyen Anh Tuan – Principal of HUFLIT visited exchange students studying at universities in Korea. Accordingly, Dr. Nguyen Anh Tuan visited students at 6 schools including Pai Chai University, Wonkwang University, Hanshin University, Ajou University, Ewha Womans University and Korea University of Foreign Studies. 

This is also an opportunity for HUFLIT to strengthen and expand cooperative relationships with elite Korean universities in diversifying research and training activities of both sides. 

Listen to better understand students’ needs and concerns 

During the meetings, Dr. Nguyen Anh Tuan asked about the students’ study and life in Korea, as well as listened to the difficulties and problems they encountered. He encouraged the students to continue to study hard, improve their knowledge and skills, and hoped that they could integrate well into the international learning environment. 

According to Dr. Nguyen Anh Tuan – HUFLIT Principal, talking with students gives him the opportunity to listen to their wishes and contributions so that the school can make appropriate adjustments and build a more positive HUFLIT environment for students. 

“I was very inspired when talking with the students. I felt happy when listening to and observing the aspirations and ambitions of the young people. Nurturing and cultivating those aspirations has always been my wish and also the mission of HUFLIT ”, Dr. Nguyen Anh Tuan shared.

According to Dr. Nguyen Anh Tuan, organizing student exchange activities not only gives students the opportunity to experience an international learning and working environment, but also helps HUFLIT and its partners, international universities, create a friendly environment, help reduce cultural gaps and promote mutual understanding among student communities between countries. 

Aiming to further enhance the international learning experience for students 

Also during the working trip, Dr. Nguyen Anh Tuan had the opportunity to learn about the facilities, training and research programs of the partner university in Korea. This is also an opportunity for HUFLIT to strengthen its relationship with training partners in Korea in diversifying the research and training activities of both sides. 

A typical example is the cooperation between HUFLIT and Ewha Womans University. The two sides signed the KF Global E-School Project in 2018. At the meeting, the two sides agreed to promote the student exchange program in the form of recognizing HUFLIT’s training credits (at least 2 years), students studying programs in English (priority given to International Studies majors). 

Ewha Womans University will also send students majoring in Korean language training to HUFLIT for short-term teaching internships and send lecturers with master’s degrees or higher to HUFLIT to teach subjects in the field of Korean Language and Korean Studies in the future. At the meeting, the two sides signed an official cooperation agreement between the two schools. Accordingly, every year Ewha Womans University will continue to update information on graduate level enrollment and accompanying incentives and scholarships for HUFLIT students.

The international transfer program continues to be expanded through the form of 2+2 bachelor’s degree program; 4+2 dual bachelor’s degree program; 2+2+2 combined bachelor’s and master’s degree program at the  Korean University of  Foreign Studies (HUFS). In addition, the  Korean University of Foreign Studies (HUFS) also wishes to send Vietnamese language major students to study and experience cultural exchange with HUFLIT students. It is known that HUFLIT and HUFS have  begun  cooperation through the KF Global E- School Project since  2019.  

In addition, during the working trip, HUFLIT also agreed to implement many cooperation contents on student exchange and transfer programs with Pai Chai University, Wonkwang University, Hanshin University and Ajou University. Thereby opening up more opportunities to experience the international learning environment for students when studying at HUFLIT. 

Aiming to further enhance the learning experience for students, HUFLIT always promotes activities to expand international cooperation, carry out training and research links with prestigious universities abroad. This is also HUFLIT’s long-term strategy in building and maintaining positive and sustainable international relationships.
