As part of a series of activities to expand international relations, HUFLIT had a working session with the Board of Directors of Pai Chai University (Korea), discussing international cooperation and exchange programs, thereby bringing more opportunities for learning and multicultural experiences for HUFLITers in the future.

Dr. Kim Wook - Principal of Pai Chai University visited and worked with Principal of HUFLIT

This visit, according to Dr. Kim Wook – Principal of Pai Chai University (PCU), is to “keep the promise” because during the business trip in November 2023, Principal of HUFLIT – Dr. Nguyen Anh Tuan paid a courtesy visit to PCU, and at that time, Dr. Kim Wook promised to visit HUFLIT in the near future. Dr. Nguyen Anh Tuan shared his gratitude for the visit of Principal of PCU: “Pai Chai University has always held an important position for HUFLIT “.

Representatives of HUFLIT and PCU discussed many new cooperation possibilities to expand and deepen the relationship between the two schools

At the meeting , representatives of HUFLIT and PCU also discussed many new cooperation possibilities to expand and deepen the relationship between the two schools such as the 2+2 joint program and postgraduate training. In addition, in the future, the two sides also wish to develop more exchange programs for teaching and research staff, contributing to improving training capacity and promoting the strengths of each school. Dr. Kim Wook emphasized that PCU will always create maximum conditions with diverse scholarship policies and support activities for international students, helping students to study with peace of mind and quickly integrate into their new life. Most notably, the Principal of PCU awarded a scholarship worth at least 1 million won to an outstanding postgraduate candidate nominated by the Principal of HUFLIT.

PCU delegation visits the Library

After the meeting, the PCU delegation also visited the Library and interacted with second-year students majoring in Korean language. They were very excited to ask questions about studying information at PCU, as well as life in Korea and other related details. Hopefully, the short exchange with HUFLIT students can somehow foster the dream of studying abroad in the “land of kimchi” of Korean language students.

At the HUFLIT Faculty of Foreign Languages, M.A. Tran My Uyen (Vice Dean) goes by many names. Some call her “Ms My”; her students call her “mother”. Colleagues often compare her to Mother Au Co with a hundred children. Yet to become the “mother” of the lecture hall she is today, she went through a profound shift in thinking that completely changed a teaching philosophy built over more than 30 years.

  • “GenZ Major Insights 2026” – Episode 9: Boundless Journeys with HUFLIT’s Tourism and Hospitality Programs
Many students choose the Tourism and Hospitality field simply because they love to travel. But passion alone is not enough to pursue this field in the long run. What matters more is understanding the nature of the discipline, its professional requirements, and the qualities needed to grow in a professional service environment.
