The programme brought hundreds of students a full picture and hands-on skills with a series of advanced artificial-intelligence tools, step by step preparing a solid digital-capacity luggage for the future.

Mastering AI to study effectively in the digital age

The seminar was led by M.A. Trần Ngọc Hà – English lecturer, Deputy Head of the Non-specialised English Division, HUFLIT Faculty of Foreign Languages, who is also a Microsoft Innovative Educator Expert.

Opening the programme, students learned about the role of AI in digital learning-material design, as well as the opportunities and challenges that this technology brings in the modern learning environment. Besides helping learners access knowledge quickly and enhance learning efficiency, AI also poses new requirements in information-evaluation skills, critical thinking and the ethics of using technology.

Through the sharing, students gained a more comprehensive perspective on applying AI in study, research and personal-capacity development in the context of strongly ongoing digital transformation.

One of the highlights of the programme was the practice-guidance segment with many AI tools that are being widely applied in education.

Students were introduced to TARI AI as a study assistant supporting the exploitation of academic resources and enhancing self-study ability. Besides, the applications of ChatGPT in building content, designing illustrative images and developing digital learning materials were also presented through visual, easy-to-apply examples.

In particular, NotebookLM attracted much interest as it allows the conversion of materials into many different learning formats such as audio, mind maps, presentations, tables or reports. This tool is assessed as a useful solution that helps students optimise the learning process and effectively support scientific-research activity.

In addition, students also learned about the features of Gemini AI in building learning content, personalising learning materials and adjusting content to suit each learner’s needs. The real-world experiences helped students better visualise how AI can become a capable assistant in the modern academic environment.

Through the sharing content and real experiential activities, the thematic seminar helped students approach new technology trends, enhance digital capacity, develop creative thinking and step by step master AI tools serving study and research. This is also one of the practical activities of the Faculty of Foreign Languages to equip students with the necessary capacities to adapt to the rapid development of technology in the academic environment and future careers.

The programme closed with a commemorative photo-taking activity between the speaker and the attending students
