Explore The Perspective Of An Art Director In Commercial Image Production Through The Talkshow: “Creating Ad Photos – Still Unique”
From 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM on December 27, 2024, the talkshow “Creating Ad Photos – Still Unique,” organized by Gwenchana, a student group from the Faculty of International Relations & Communications, successfully took place at the 6th-floor auditorium of the Sư Vạn Hạnh campus, HUFLIT, with the participation of over 400 students.

Recognizing the importance of creative techniques and commercial image production to attract potential customers in a captivating yet sophisticated manner, Gwenchana organized this talkshow to help students equip themselves with essential skills for their future careers.

With 20 years of experience in the industry, spanning printing, managing advertising image projects, and serving as Art Director at KV Images, Mr. Huy Trương, the program’s guest speaker, delivered an engaging session. He shared practical insights and real-world experiences, drawing from projects he had undertaken.
The talkshow was structured into three parts, each focusing on a distinct theme: an introduction to advertising images, real-life examples and specific campaigns, and detailed analysis and interpretation. The content was designed to provide students with a deeper understanding of creating advertising images, from receiving a client brief to conceptualizing ideas, choosing primary colors, and developing a complete creative brief. These steps not only ensure the product stands out and sells but also incorporate the artistry needed to create a unique edge for brands in a competitive market.
Mr. Huy also discussed how carefully chosen materials for image production in each campaign can evoke strong emotions, leaving a lasting impression on customers and making the brand memorable.

Additionally, Mr. Huy engaged directly with students through Q&A interactions, creating a relaxed and approachable atmosphere. The talkshow concluded with a lively Q&A session, during which students posed numerous insightful questions. Mr. Huy listened attentively and answered each query enthusiastically.

With its relevance to specialized courses and the captivating delivery of Mr. Huy, the program received overwhelmingly positive feedback from students. Gwenchana believes that the valuable lessons and experiences shared during the talkshow “Creating Ad Photos – Still Unique” will help students gain closer insights into this “familiar yet novel” field, enriching their skillset and preparing them for their future careers.
