Embracing Emotions: When Music Unleashes the Potential of HUFLIT Students
Have you ever felt lost in the fast pace of modern life and longed to rediscover yourself amid endless worries? The workshop “Embracing Emotions – Unleashing Potential in Learning and Life,” organized by the Faculty of Foreign Languages at HUFLIT in collaboration with Harmony of Sunshine, offered a surprising answer: music is the key.
To open the session, ThS. Lương Xuân Thịnh used music to connect the hearts and souls of the audience with the deep, soothing tones of the guitar through passionately lyrical songs such as “Hãy yêu như chưa yêu lần nào” (Love as if you’ve never loved before) by Lê Hựu Hà and “Còn tuổi nào cho em” (What Age Is Left for You) by Trịnh Công Sơn. In doing so, he conveyed the message: “Music allows people to express emotions that words cannot capture, helping us connect with ourselves and with those who share similar feelings.”
The two co-founders of Harmony of Sunshine passionately shared their insights on the value of emotions in modern life and explained how music can be a powerful tool to connect and inspire creativity. They emphasized the importance of emotions in learning, work, and daily living, helping each individual to understand and maximize their potential. Through this sharing, students had the opportunity to explore their personal identities while spreading positive energy—a source of inspiration that not only liberates oneself but also reflects the unique values and colors of life.
In the emotionally charged atmosphere of the “Embracing Emotions – Unleashing Potential in Learning and Life” workshop, the profound insights shared by ThS. Lương Xuân Thịnh opened a new perspective on life. He stressed that each of us carries our own “song,” a unique identity shaped by personal experiences and emotions. Music is not only a means of expressing individuality but also a powerful bridge that helps us find ourselves, integrate into our communities, and connect with like-minded souls.
With the humanistic reminder, “Everyone is a true artist,” ThS. Thịnh affirmed that in any field, every individual can discover a connection with music, love, and art. Music is a companion that guides us in exploring our limitless potential and living true to our own identity.
