FACULTY OF LAW ASSOCIATION ORGANIZES UNIQUE CHALLENGE TO WELCOME NEW STUDENTS

Recently, at Gia Dinh Park (Ward 3, Go Vap District, Ho Chi Minh City), the Law Faculty Union organized a program to welcome new students “Connection Day 2024”. The program aims to create an environment for Newbees of the Faculty to meet, exchange, and expand relationships with each other right from the first days of entering the university.

In addition to the connection goal, the event also provides opportunities to improve physical fitness and health through outdoor activities and games. The enthusiasm and team spirit of the students are like a breath of fresh air, not only dispelling the heat but also creating a vibrant, energetic atmosphere.

The 2024 “Connection Day” festival  includes  03  games named:  Rubber Band Passing, Silk Road and finally Secret Message Decoding . Students are randomly selected members for their team, maximum 06 members/team and the Organizing Committee (OC) divides the representative colors for each team with extremely pretty ribbons. Not only that, students also give their teams very cute names such as: Baby Leopards, Five Dragon Princesses, etc.

Each game has its own rules and time limit, requiring teams to overcome all challenges to be recognized and scored by the Organizing Committee. Therefore, before starting each game, the Organizing Committee will clearly disseminate the game rules and arrange for collaborators to play the sample game, helping teams easily visualize and better prepare for their competition.

The festival received enthusiastic response from a large number of students. Each team participated with high spirits, ready to overcome difficult challenges to achieve the highest scores, with the desire to bring their team closer to victory.

First, in the Rubber Band Passing game , team members must line up and receive the game tool, which is a straw, from the organizers. The first person will receive the rubber band and pass it to the last person. This game requires dexterity and precision from the members. When the rubber band reaches the last person, the teams will hold the rubber band in the straw and move to the designated location to put it in the cup. Within 10 minutes, the team with the most rubber bands put in the cup will win.

Next is the second game called “The Silk Road” . Team members must line up, standing 2 meters apart. The first member will receive a piece of cloth from the organizer, wrap it around their waist and pass it to the next member. The most “difficult” point of this game is that members are not allowed to touch the piece of cloth when passing, forcing them to coordinate smoothly and skillfully. The team that completes the task fastest will win.

And finally, the game “Decoding Secret Letters” is the most intense and difficult challenge, because this is a high-scoring game that can help teams turn the tables if their scores are not high in the previous rounds. The game consists of 4 small challenges, requiring the members’ agility and flexibility, including: Answering questions to receive the first secret letter, solving location secret letters, solving question secret letters, and finally solving the secret letter to reach the finish line.

After a period of working together to overcome all the challenges given by the Organizing Committee, finally, the “portraits” of the excellent teams have appeared one after another:

• First Prize belongs to: Team “Football with shuttlecock, jump rope, hide and seek”;
• Second Prize goes to: Team “The Baby Leopards”;
• Third Prize goes to: Team “Pink Baby Hunters”.

Through the Festival, the Organizing Committee hopes that the new students have had memorable moments with their new friends, adding excitement and intimacy to their new beginning and continuing to shine in the dynamic and creative learning environment at HUFLIT.
