HUFLIT Party Congress VIII, Term 2025–2030: A New Milestone for a Period of Vigorous Development
On the morning of June 22, 2025, the 8th Party Congress of the University of Foreign Languages and Information Technology, Ho Chi Minh City (HUFLIT), for the 2025–2030 term was successfully held, marking an important milestone in the University’s development process. The Congress was attended by representatives from the Party Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, as well as delegates from other educational institutions.
The Congress reviewed the results of the 7th Party Committee’s term (2020–2025), evaluated the implementation of resolutions, and set the vision, objectives, and tasks for the 2025–2030 term. It also elected the 8th Executive Committee and the Inspection Committee.

The delegates listened to the report of the 7th Executive Committee, which highlighted remarkable achievements in Party building, teaching and learning, student development, research, and international cooperation. The report emphasized the University’s strong resilience and adaptation in the face of challenges.

The 8th Party Congress of HUFLIT, term 2025–2030, marks a new milestone for a period of vigorous development
Following the motto “Solidarity – Discipline – Democracy – Development”, the Congress conducted a comprehensive evaluation of the implementation of the 2020–2025 term resolutions, while also defining the directions, tasks, and key solutions to achieve the objectives of the 2025–2030 term. The focus is on continuing to innovate leadership methods and enhancing the capacity and combat readiness of the entire Party Committee. In particular, the Party Committee aims to leverage its combined strength to excellently fulfill political tasks, improve the quality of training, promote scientific research and the application of science and technology, foster innovation and international integration, and build a strong Party organization, thereby contributing to positioning the University as one of the most prestigious training institutions in the region.

The Congress also discussed and contributed opinions on the draft documents of the 14th National Party Congress and the documents of the Party Congress of Ho Chi Minh City University of Foreign Languages and Information Technology.

Speaking at the Congress, Comrade Ngô Thành Tuấn – Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the City People’s Committee – emphasized that the University Party Committee should pay special attention and focus on effectively directing the implementation of resolutions with strategic significance in education, training, science and technology, innovation, and digital transformation, affirming its role as an important entity in the innovation ecosystem of Ho Chi Minh City and the country.

Regarding Party building, mass mobilization, and organizational work, the focus is on strengthening coordination between the Party Committee, the University Council, and the Board of Rectors, ensuring close Party leadership in the process of strategic development planning, governance innovation, and improving the quality of training amid the dynamic transformation of higher education.There is an emphasis on renewing and enhancing the quality of Party member development, particularly among young lecturers and competent, ethical professional staff. Leadership also involves leveraging the strength of mass organizations, linking movement activities with education on ideals, ethics, lifestyle, and HUFLIT culture, thereby fostering motivation, a spirit of competition, and dedication throughout the university.

In a spirit of objectivity and democracy, the Congress elected the 8th Executive Committee of the Party Committee of Ho Chi Minh City University of Foreign Languages and Information Technology for the 2025–2030 term, consisting of nine members.
