Student Exchange Program at Ibaraki Christian University, Japan Spring Semester 2025

Implementing the student exchange program with Japanese universities, the Foreign Affairs Department announces the selection of students to participate in the Spring 2025 semester exchange program at Ibaraki Christian University (IC), Japan, specifically as follows:

  • Number: 2 students
  • Exchange period: 1 semester or 2 semesters, starting from semester II of the 2024-2025 school year
  • Curriculum: in Japanese or English (students can refer to the Faculty’s training program on the school’s website to choose suitable subjects. The official list of subjects will be provided by IC University upon admission)
  • Students can refer to detailed information about the school and application form at the Link or scan the QR code:

1.Conditions:

  • Currently a 3rd year student or above (for Japanese Studies students) or a 2nd year student or above (for all other majors);
  • Have Japanese certificate N2 or higher, or confirmation of N2 level from the lecturer in charge;
  • Students with Japanese N3 certificate and English TOEFL/TOEIC certificate above 430 can simultaneously register for English courses along with Japanese courses.
  • Students must open a bank account with a minimum of 2,000,000 JPY (approximately 325,000,000 VND) at least 01 month before the visa application date (around December 2024) and must maintain the balance throughout the application process, at least until the visa is granted. This account can be in the name of the parent/financial sponsor, but must have a household registration/birth certificate to prove the family relationship.

2.Application documents: Students prepare and submit all of the following documents:

Note: All documents above must be in English or Japanese.

3. Rights and obligations:

a. Benefits:

  • 100% exemption of tuition and registration fees at IC school;
  • Dormitory fee support for female students;
  • Transcripts are issued upon completion of the program;
  • The results of studying abroad are considered for credit transfer back to HUFLIT if they are equivalent to the subjects in the program at HUFLIT. The maximum number of credits transferred is 25% of the total credits in the training program (for example, if the training program consists of 100 credits, the maximum number of credits that can be transferred is 25 credits).

b. Obligations:

  • Students are responsible for all expenses incurred during the exchange program at IC;
  • Pay the application consultation support fee according to HUFLIT’s regulations;
  • Pay tuition fees corresponding to the subjects considered for equivalent recognition before departure;
  • Specific information on tuition and fees will be sent after students have their visa .

4. Process:

  • The Faculty widely announces this information so that eligible students can register for the program. Students of the Faculty of Oriental Languages ​​& Cultures register at the Link before September 12, 2023 ;
  • The Faculty sends the Nomination List to the Foreign Affairs Office before 4:30 p.m. on September 18, 2023 (the list clearly states the name, student ID number, email, phone number, passport number, and time of exchange);
  • After receiving information from the Faculty about the admission, students should quickly submit complete documents to the Foreign Affairs Office before 4:30 p.m. on September 25, 2023.

Note: If the number of applications is greater than the number of partners required, the Foreign Affairs Department will organize the selection of suitable students.
