The Faculty of Foreign Languages at HUFLIT “Ignites” the Teaching Profession for Major StudentsRecently, the Faculty of Foreign Languages organized the first professional skills seminar for students in the 2025–2026 academic year under the theme “From the Classroom to the Teaching Podium.” The program was not only a career-sharing session but also opened a profound narrative about the educational journey—exploring choices, commitment, and sustaining passion for the teaching profession in the context of modern education.
“Bridging Worlds” Seminar Series: Connecting Cultures and Enhancing Social Interaction Skills for HUFLIT Students
With the aim of equipping students with essential skills in the context of globalization, the Executive Committee of the Youth Union and Student Association of the Faculty of International Relations and Communication organized an academic activity series titled “Bridging Worlds – Cultural Integration and Social Interaction Skills.” The series included the “Bridging Worlds” Talk Show and the experiential workshop “Cross-Cultural Compass.”
On the evening of January 5, 2026, the “Bridging Worlds” Talk Show was held at the 6th-floor auditorium of the Su Van Hanh Campus (HUFLIT), attracting the participation of nearly 400 students from across the University. The program featured M.A. and MC Quynh Hoa, Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Cultural House, as the guest speaker.
Within the framework of the talk show, students explored the concept and significance of intercultural communication skills, listened to practical insights from the speaker based on her experiences in studying, working, and engaging in international activities, and discussed challenges as well as adaptation strategies in multicultural environments. The talk show took place in a dynamic and open atmosphere, creating opportunities for direct dialogue between students and the speaker while broadening students’ global perspectives.
Following the talk show, on the morning of January 6, 2026, the workshop “Cross-Cultural Compass” was held at the Seminar Room of the Su Van Hanh Campus (HUFLIT). The guest speaker for the workshop was MC Nguyen Thi Ngoc Qui, Editor and MC at the News Center of Ho Chi Minh City Radio and Television.
During the workshop, students were introduced to the fundamentals of intercultural communication skills, participated in multicultural communication scenarios, and received direct feedback from the guest speaker. In addition, they were guided on personal branding skills aligned with international protocols and the art of diplomacy. The workshop took place in a serious yet creative academic atmosphere, equipping students with practical tools to confidently engage in international environments.
The “Bridging Worlds” activity series was not only an academic forum enabling HUFLIT students to develop cultural integration and social interaction skills, but also an opportunity to foster connection, spread a spirit of learning, respect for diversity, and affirm students’ roles on the journey toward becoming global citizens. This series stands as clear evidence of the commitment of the Youth Union and Student Association of the Faculty of International Relations and Communication in accompanying students in their academic pursuits and holistic development.
