Distinguished delegates, lecturers, and enthusiastic HUFLIT volunteers gathered together at the Launching Ceremony of the HUFLIT Green Summer Volunteer Campaign 2025
The HUFLIT Green Summer Volunteer Campaign 2025 took place from July 17, 2025, to August 14, 2025, with 10 activity sites spanning from Ho Chi Minh City to Tay Ninh and Can Tho.
At the Non-Permanent Front, HUFLIT volunteers carried out activities in Hoa Hung Ward, Tan Son Nhat Ward, Tan Son Hoa Ward, Phu Thanh Ward, Binh Tan Ward, Ba Diem Commune, and Hoc Mon Commune (Ho Chi Minh City).
Meanwhile, the Permanent Front operated in Tan Thanh Commune (Tay Ninh Province), Nga Bay Ward, and Dai Thanh Ward (Can Tho City).
To ensure the campaign’s effectiveness, the Command Board established 07 specialized volunteer teams, including:
Introduction of the Commanding Committee and the Leaders and Deputy Leaders of the volunteer teams for the HUFLIT Green Summer Volunteer Campaign 2025.
This year, the HUFLIT Green Summer Volunteer Campaign received VND 133,600,000 in funding support — an important foundation for implementing meaningful projects and community activities.
This achievement was made possible thanks to the care and companionship of the university’s departments, HUFLIT faculty members, and businesses that have always trusted and supported HUFLIT students in their volunteer efforts.

The HUFLIT Green Summer Volunteer Campaign 2025 recorded 2,239 student participants carrying out 186 community service activities at the Non-Permanent Front and 50 activities at the Permanent Front, with a total implementation budget of VND 397,571,000. The campaign also accomplished:
- 4 lighting projects installed with 85 solar-powered bulbs
- 190 gifts including notebooks and 120 scholarships
- 15 bicycles for students in difficult circumstances
- 3 gifts for Vietnamese Heroic Mothers
- 155 gifts for policy families and people with contributions to the revolution
- 100 medicine cabinets for disadvantaged households
Throughout the campaign, the Command Board consistently accompanied, guided, and supported the volunteers in every activity, maximizing the youth, enthusiasm, creativity, and pioneering spirit of HUFLIT students, thereby creating numerous meaningful contributions to the community.
The Permanent Committee regularly met with the volunteers.
With collective effort, unity, and a strong commitment to completing meaningful projects, the HUFLIT Green Summer Volunteer Campaign 2025 achieved remarkable results across its fronts, detailed as follows:
At the Non-Permanent Front:
- Collaborated with Phu Thanh Ward and the Blue Tutor Team at the city level to organize tutoring and review classes, equip students with new skills, prepare tailored lesson plans, and design flashcards for English communication classes at Phu Thanh Ward and basic English classes for children at Ba Diem Commune.
- Worked with Hoa Hung Ward, Tan Son Nhat Ward, Binh Tan Ward, and Hoc Mon Commune to set up 6 children’s playgrounds with themes including English, traffic safety, environmental protection, and various traditional game booths.
- Implemented the “Vietnamese Sounds” program to introduce traditional musical instruments to children in Tan Son Nhat Ward and choreographed performances for the “Volunteer Singing Festival” scheduled for September 2025.
- Surveyed and identified over 1,500 nearby student accommodations, updated locations on Google My Maps, and supported students in securing housing before the new school year.
- Assisted residents with administrative procedures at the Public Administration Centers of Phu Thanh Ward and Hoc Mon Commune.
- Co-organized a mock trial on “Intentional Injury” and a special report on “Digital Skills for Youth” in Tan Son Nhat Ward.
- Designed and implemented educational materials on fire safety, drowning prevention, flood safety, and online scam awareness.
- Completed 3 mural projects covering 11 walls with a total length of 73 meters at Phu Thanh Ward and Binh Tri Dong Ward, focusing on environmental protection, digital transformation, Vietnamese history, and welcoming the Party Congress delegates at all levels.
- Organized first aid training sessions to equip volunteers with practical knowledge for handling emergencies.
- Collaborated with the Ho Chi Minh City Humanitarian Blood Donation Center to conduct blood drives at the Su Van Hanh and Hoc Mon campuses, collecting 192 blood units.
- Donated 50 medicine cabinets to disadvantaged households in Hoc Mon Commune.

At the Permanent Front in Tay Ninh Province:

Assisted residents with administrative procedures at the People’s Committee of Tan Thanh Commune.

Encouraged families to send children to school and organized summer classes for children at Dong Ken 2 Hamlet.

Collaborated with soldiers from Regiment 4, Division 5 to dredge canals and clean rural roads, contributing to the improvement of the local landscape.

Installed 20 solar-powered lights for the “Lighting Up the Countryside” project along a 2 km road from Ta Do Hamlet to Dong Ken 2 Hamlet.

Set up 20 computers for the “Old Computers – New Knowledge” project at Tan Thanh 1 and 2 Primary Schools.

At the Permanent Front in Can Tho City:

Installed 60 solar-powered lights for the “Lighting Up the Countryside” project along a 2.5 km road.

Participated in the “Kind Steps” program in collaboration with the Ho Chi Minh City Television Youth Union (HTV) and the Southern Branch Youth Union of the Traffic Police Department (Ministry of Public Security).

The HUFLIT Green Summer Volunteer Campaign has received special attention from the university leadership and faculty members over the years. On July 30, 2025, a delegation from HUFLIT visited and encouraged the volunteers stationed at Tan Thanh Commune, Tay Ninh Province.
The delegation toured the living and activity areas of the volunteers and inaugurated the projects implemented locally. They also presented:

Additionally, on August 2 and 3, 2025, a delegation from HUFLIT, led by Vice Rector Nguyễn Ngọc Vũ, along with faculty members, alumni who previously served as the Command Board of the HUFLIT Green Summer Volunteer Campaign, and former volunteers from the Hau Giang Front (2006–2025), visited and encouraged the 2025 HUFLIT Green Summer volunteers carrying out activities at Nga Bay Ward and Dai Thanh Ward, Can Tho City.

Additionally, during the peak days of the campaign, the HUFLIT Green Summer volunteers actively participated in activities such as:

Collaborating with the Youth Union, local neighborhood officers, and the Tan Son Hoa Ward police to remove illegal advertising boards and donate trees to local households in response to the 159th Green Sunday event.

Partnering with Hoc Mon Commune to implement the “Light of Hope” project, which included 5 solar-powered lights, distributing gifts to underprivileged children at Do Van Day Secondary School, cleaning Huynh Thi Mai Street, and attending the launch ceremony for dengue fever prevention awareness at Xuan Thoi Thuong Commune Health Station.

On the occasion of the 78th Anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27), the volunteers visited and presented gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, policy families, and people with contributions to the revolution. They also participated in candle-lighting ceremonies to honor the fallen, cleaning cemeteries and memorials, as well as activities such as war memory seminars and the inspirational program “Proud of Our Tradition, Following in the Footsteps of Our Ancestors.”
Some highlights of activities in response to War Invalids and Martyrs Day – July 27
To promptly understand concerns, address difficulties, and answer volunteers’ questions during the campaign, the Command Board organized weekly Friday evening gatherings at the Su Van Hanh campus. At these sessions, volunteers not only had the opportunity to listen, discuss, and share directly with the Command Board, but also received encouragement and motivation after a week of activities. These gatherings became a bonding platform, fostering unity, responsibility, and a sense of camaraderie among HUFLIT Green Summer volunteers.

Concluding a four-week journey full of enthusiasm, during which the spirit of volunteering spread widely from urban to rural areas, the Closing Ceremony of the HUFLIT Green Summer Volunteer Campaign 2025 was not only an occasion to summarize the campaign’s achievements but also a moment for each volunteer to reflect on their dedication, growth, and bonding in the HUFLIT green shirt. Throughout the campaign, volunteers worked tirelessly, turning ideas into practical projects and tasks that brought benefits and joy to the community.
On this occasion, the Student Union Secretariat issued Decision No. 15-QĐ/HSV dated August 12, 2025, recognizing and commending outstanding individuals: 34 volunteers awarded the title “Volunteer Soldier” and 44 volunteers awarded the title “Excellent Volunteer”. In addition, the ceremony honored 21 commanders with the title “Outstanding Commander”, who were also recommended for certificates of merit from the University Rector, duly acknowledging their efforts, responsibility, and wholehearted dedication throughout the campaign.

The journey of the HUFLIT Green Summer Volunteer Campaign 2025 has come to a close, yet the echoes of youth, enthusiasm, and the spirit of volunteerism continue to resonate strongly. The projects, activities, and smiles of the residents and children supported during the campaign are living proof of the value that HUFLIT youth bring to the community. Through these experiences, volunteers not only develop practical skills and gain hands-on experience but also cultivate a sense of social responsibility, community awareness, and pride in contributing to the development of their hometowns.
Moreover, the campaign has created opportunities to strengthen connections between the University, students, and local communities, forming a network that spreads positive energy and inspires the spirit of “Go to share, go to contribute, go to grow.” It is hoped that the HUFLIT Green Summer Volunteer Campaign will continue to receive trust and support, becoming a platform for students to embark on even more meaningful green journeys, contributing to a dynamic, compassionate, and sustainably developing society.
