“Chị Đẹp Đạp Gió” Blonde Nguyễn Tells the Story of ‘Conquering’ International Artists with HUFLIT Students

The answer was vividly sketched by director Blonde Nguyễn before hundreds of HUFLIT students at the talkshow “Touch The Flow – Chạm Nhịp Sân Khấu” organised by students of the Faculty of International Relations & Communication (HUFLIT). The “real people, real work” stories from the programme became a guiding compass, adding motivation for young people passionate about the art of staging.

The programme was created with the goal of building an exchange space, helping students understand more deeply the profession of stage directing – a field that requires the intersection of organisational thinking, creative ability and the skill of connecting with the audience’s emotions.

Blonde Nguyễn (real name Nguyễn Ngọc Thanh Trà) is a famous stage director and event producer in Vietnam. With more than 15 years of experience, she is known as the general director of more than 350 programmes, music festivals and large concerts. Before becoming a stage director, she held Account and Producer positions, thereby accumulating diverse experience in the different stages of an event.

The speaker’s name is associated with the role of stage director of the famous TV programme Chị Đẹp Đạp Gió Rẽ Sóng, together with large-scale music festivals such as 8WONDER, the Happy Bee event series, and GenFest…

Through the sharing at the programme, the speaker helped students better visualise her development journey in the directing profession, from the initial steps and the process of accumulating experience in many different roles to building creative thinking and professional mettle in a professional artistic environment.

At the talk, director Blonde Nguyễn sketched a realistic picture of the journey in the profession. She guided students from the first tentative steps and how to accumulate multitasking experience, to honing creative thinking and mettle in a harsh artistic environment.

Not only painting a glamorous picture, the highlight of the programme was bringing students to touch the “hidden corners” behind the wings. Through real stories about health pressure or the problem of meeting the demanding requirements of international artists, the guest vividly portrayed the extreme challenges of the profession.

Through that, the students realised that: the glory of a director lies not only in a creative mind but is also determined by leadership capacity, problem-solving skills and sharp personnel-coordination ability.
