Proud to be HUFLITers #07 | M.A. Tran My Uyen – A lectern where a teacher wishes only to “watch her children grow up”At the HUFLIT Faculty of Foreign Languages, M.A. Tran My Uyen (Vice Dean) goes by many names. Some call her “Ms My”; her students call her “mother”. Colleagues often compare her to Mother Au Co with a hundred children. Yet to become the “mother” of the lecture hall she is today, she went through a profound shift in thinking that completely changed a teaching philosophy built over more than 30 years.

Affirming Our Value: HUFLIT TESOL and Its Quality Commitment to Alumni
Holding our position, raising our academic standing

With a commitment to placing training quality and learner satisfaction at the centre, continual self-examination and capability assessment is a top priority for the University. HUFLIT TESOL recently had the honour of welcoming Dr. Nguyen Hong Thuy Van – Director of INTESOL Vietnam – and her colleagues for a visit and working session.
At the meeting, the INTESOL Vietnam representatives offered particular congratulations on HUFLIT TESOL’s strong transformation over the past year, not only in scale but, most importantly, in the positive feedback from the community of learners and graduates on teaching quality and support services.
As one of INTESOL Worldwide’s official franchise partners in Vietnam (with certification accredited by ALAP), this recognition from an international body is the clearest evidence that HUFLIT maintains and continually raises its training standards. It also means that the standing and value of the TESOL certificate held by our alumni will always be protected and enhanced in the labour market.
Continually expanding the learner support ecosystem

Beyond maintaining current quality, HUFLIT TESOL and INTESOL Vietnam are continually discussing strategic, long-term support options for their network of learners.
In the time ahead, advanced courses closely aligned with the market’s demanding requirements, together with a network for internship and job referrals, will soon be rolled out. This effort is HUFLIT’s strongest commitment: the University will always be a solid support base, a trusted “charging station” for knowledge, accompanying alumni at every step of their career development.
For students who graduated in 2024

Recognition from reputable international organisations is a milestone to be proud of, but the real success of our alumni is the most valuable measure for HUFLIT. Understanding your current career path helps the University continue to strengthen and upgrade its programmes (such as TESOL and many other certifications) so they meet the market’s expectations precisely.
