More online class opportunities for HUFLIT students with HANKUK University of Foreign Studies, Korea
In order to provide more advanced learning opportunities for students and improve the training quality for Korean Studies, on September 30, 2019, Prof. Cho Younghan from Hankuk University of Foreign Studies (HUFS), Korea visited and discussed cooperation opportunities with Ho Chi Minh City University of Foreign Languages - Information Technology (HUFLIT). Prof. Cho is currently the Deputy Head of the International Graduate Program Department and a Professor at the HUFS Faculty of Communication.

HUFLIT and HUFS discuss cooperation opportunities between the two schools
Representatives of the two sides discussed specific cooperation activities, especially the E-school online class program project. Prof. Cho Younghan is currently in charge of implementing the E-school project at HUFS. HUFLIT wishes to expand this project by increasing the number of subjects taught from 1 subject/school year to 2 subjects/school year. In addition to the “Introduction to Korean Culture and Society” course taught by Prof. Chongnan Chin from Hankuk Cyber University of Foreign Studies (CUFS) (CUFS is under HUFS) which only focuses on the language aspect, HUFS will also add a specialized course on Korean culture and society taught by Prof. Cho Younghan himself. If the plan to implement this course is successful, HUFLIT will become the first Vietnamese partner of HUFS to coordinate in implementing E-school classes.
In addition to E-School, HUFS and HUFLIT also wish to pursue other cooperation contents such as student exchange programs or introducing HUFLIT students and lecturers to study Master’s and Doctoral training programs at HUFS to meet the teaching needs of Korean Studies…
M.A. Nguyen Thi Thieu presents a souvenir to Prof. Cho Younghan
Hankuk University of Foreign Studies’ E-school is an online class model similar to the program that HUFLIT is currently collaborating with Ehwa Women’s University to organize for 4th-year Korean Studies students, Faculty of Oriental Languages and Cultures. This is a class where lecturers in Korea and students in Vietnam interact with each other at the same time, overcoming the limitations of geographical distance and time. The E-school class is part of the KF Global E-school project sponsored by the Korea Foundation with the aim of introducing and expanding Korean Studies to many countries around the world.
