HUFLIT students accelerate thinking and problem-solving ability through skills workshops
On March 27, 2025, at the 6th floor Hall, Su Van Hanh Campus (HUFLIT), the Faculty of Law’s Youth Union and Association organized a workshop on ” Problem solving in the legal field” with the participation of many students of the school.

The workshop “Problem Solving in the Legal Field” not only equips students with sharp critical thinking skills, tight arguments and flexible improvisation, but also provides opportunities to learn from real-life situations shared by experienced speakers. The program helps students better understand the law and improve their legal problem-solving skills, while contributing to improving the effectiveness of propaganda and dissemination of law in the student community. The workshop also creates a dynamic and creative learning environment, promoting the development of students’ legal thinking and practical skills.

At the “Problem Solving in the Legal Field” skills workshop, students had the opportunity to interact with three experienced speakers in the industry: Lawyer Pham Quang Thanh , Director of Thai Hai Law Firm, with extensive expertise in law and a solid foundation in transportation engineering, currently an Arbitrator at the Pacific International Commercial Arbitration Center (PIAC); Lawyer Pham Thi My Van , Master of Commerce, with more than 15 years of experience in charge of legal work at Construction Materials Corporation No. 1 – JSC (FiCo) and Master Pham Gia Diep , training management expert and career consultant, currently working at YLAW & PARTNERS Law Firm. The speakers shared real-life situations and in-depth legal knowledge, giving students a comprehensive view of the legal industry. These shares not only help students understand problem-solving skills in law but also equip them with tools to effectively apply them to real life and future work.

One of the highlights of the workshop is to help students improve their legal thinking. They are trained in the ability to analyze situations, evaluate problems from many angles and come up with solutions based on a solid legal foundation, thereby being able to perceive and solve legal problems in a sharp way.
In addition, the workshop also helps students improve their critical thinking and argumentation skills. Through discussions and exchanges with experts, students develop the ability to debate and present their opinions logically and persuasively – an important skill not only in studying but also in practical legal work.
In addition, this is an opportunity for students to learn from the practical experience of industry experts. These valuable sharings help students better understand how to approach and solve problems in real-life environments, thereby improving their ability to apply knowledge to work.
Finally, the conference also creates opportunities to expand professional connections. Students can meet and interact with lecturers, lawyers and like-minded friends, creating a solid foundation for future learning and career development opportunities.
In an increasingly complex and ever-changing legal context, the ability to solve problems quickly, accurately and rationally becomes a key factor for those pursuing this field. It not only requires systematic thinking and rigorous reasoning, but also requires acumen in analyzing situations, flexibly applying legal regulations and providing optimal solutions. At the same time, at the Workshop, speakers also guided students on how to develop reasonable arguments, use convincing evidence to debate closely and logically.

Not only listening, the seminar is also an opportunity for students to boldly ask questions, exchange opinions and challenge themselves through the stories shared by the speakers. This is not only an opportunity to learn knowledge but also a place for students to hone their thinking and communication skills, as well as practice self-confidence – factors that are extremely necessary to enter the real working environment in the future.
More than a seminar, this is a journey to help students better understand how the law can be applied to solve everyday problems, while also arousing in students the passion and desire to conquer this field. With such great values, the seminar has certainly left in the hearts of students deep impressions, unforgettable lessons and strong motivation to continue to strive.

The program ended with many memorable moments, while providing valuable knowledge to help you improve yourself and develop your skills effectively. Hopefully, what was shared at the workshop will become valuable assets, helping you to be more confident in your studies, work and your path to becoming a legal practitioner in the future.
