“The Amazing Law 2025” – A Launchpad of Legal Knowledge and Skills for the Digital Generation
Following the success of eight previous seasons with a series of engaging themes, the “The Amazing Law 2025” legal knowledge competition, organized by the HUFLIT Faculty of Law’s Youth Union and Student Association, officially returns with the theme “Law – A Multidimensional Perspective”.
The competition serves as an academic playground for Law students in particular and for students from universities and colleges across Ho Chi Minh City in general. It provides participants with opportunities to gain deeper insights into the legal system through documents such as Laws, Codes, Decrees, and Circulars. Through the contest, students not only broaden their legal knowledge but also enhance their critical thinking, debating skills, and ability to apply legal principles in real-life situations.
The competition also contributes to promoting legal education and awareness in an era of rapid technological advancement, while fostering a dynamic and creative learning environment that empowers students to actively integrate and adapt to the demands of the digital age.
A Vibrant Legal Playground Where Students Learn, Debate, and Shine
In today’s ever-changing society, law serves as the foundation for regulating social relationships and maintaining public order. For example, the Law on Traffic Safety not only governs behavior on the road but also closely connects with other branches such as Civil Law and Criminal Law.
A single traffic accident can lead to disputes over compensation, criminal liability, or the protection of the rights of those involved. Such real-life scenarios vividly illustrate the multidimensional and interconnected nature of the law – where different branches do not exist independently but rather intertwine and complement one another.
With the theme “Law – A Multidimensional Perspective,” The Amazing Law 2025 opens an academic arena where students go beyond merely memorizing legal provisions. Instead, they cultivate interdisciplinary thinking – analyzing, connecting, and applying various legal aspects to real-life contexts.
In the Preliminary Round, teams competed in an online challenge hosted on the Myahola platform. After overcoming a series of questions testing their legal knowledge and critical thinking, the eight best-performing teams advanced to the Semi-finals.
Drawing one of four random topics, the teams presented and debated real-world legal issues. Each presentation showcased thorough preparation, sharp reasoning, and flexible rebuttals – resulting in engaging and persuasive rounds of debate. At the end of the Semi-finals, the four strongest teams – Jurist Mind (Ho Chi Minh City University of Law), Cư Dân Sa Mạc, Thượng Tôn Pháp Luật, and Law Lắng (all from HUFLIT) – officially secured their places in the Grand Finale, continuing their journey to claim the championship title of The Amazing Law 2025.
The Final Round served as an intense and engaging competition to discover outstanding individuals in the field of law, while also equipping students with new and insightful legal knowledge. The round consisted of two parts: “Legal Reflex”, which tested contestants’ ability to recall and quickly apply legal knowledge through 20 multiple-choice questions, and “Debate”, conducted in the Karl Popper format, where teams alternated between affirmative and opposing sides to showcase their critical thinking and teamwork skills.
After two challenging and demanding rounds, the team “Thượng Tôn Pháp Luật” (HUFLIT) impressively claimed the championship of “The Amazing Law 2025.” The runner-up was awarded to the team “Jurist Minds” (Ho Chi Minh City University of Law), the third prize went to the team “Law Lắng” (HUFLIT), and the team “Cư Dân Sa Mạc” (HUFLIT) received the Consolation Prize.
Through these intense rounds and the impartial feedback from the judges, the students not only gained specialized legal knowledge but also developed a deeper understanding of practical legal issues in today’s society. This event also provided an opportunity to strengthen critical thinking, debate skills, and the practical application of law – essential tools for their future academic and professional journeys.
