During their time studying at HUFLIT, Nozomi and Noa got to know extremely lovely teachers and students.

During most of their time in Vietnam, the two Teikyo girls attended specialized English classes with English Language students from HUFLIT’s Foreign Language Faculty. At the same time, the two were also guided by buddies to visit famous places in Ho Chi Minh City such as Landmark 81, City Post Office, Dam Sen Cultural Park, etc. and experienced taking the waterbus and double-decker bus to explore the city center. One of the things that made them most passionate when coming to Ho Chi Minh City was experiencing the diverse culinary culture with many delicious dishes such as bún chả, bánh xèo, cơm tấm, phở, etc.

Instead of the usual Japanese company tour, Noa and Nozomi attended the Japanese Business Culture Class taught by Mr. Fumio Okita – a Japanese economic expert and Ms. Ayaka Fujiwara . They learned more about the Overview of Japanese History, Japanese Business Management, Practical Understanding of Japanese Companies, Japanese Business Management in the New Era and Typical Examples of International Business.

In the last class at HUFLIT, Mr. Nguyen Minh Tuan, on behalf of the Board of Directors of the Faculty of Foreign Languages, congratulated the two students and hoped that they had a memorable experience. Sharing her thoughts, Nozomi thanked the teachers and students of HUFLIT for their wholehearted support during the past 2 weeks: ” Although I was very shy, with the help of my friends, I was able to use English to express my thoughts .” Noa said that English is very difficult and she will continue to try to study better.

The two-week short-term study program for Teikyo students is an agreement between the two universities to help students of the Faculty of Economics of Teikyo University learn about Vietnamese culture and improve their English skills. The program was first implemented in 2019 and returned in 2023 after a hiatus due to the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic. In the coming time, HUFLIT will further promote student exchange activities to create more opportunities for international cultural and learning experiences for learners.
