This was the first time that the Chinese Debate Contest was held on a national scale, with the goal of enhancing friendly relations and cooperation between Vietnam and China, as well as encouraging the study of Chinese. The contest provided an attractive, healthy, and beneficial platform for Vietnamese youths who are interested in learning Chinese in Danang and other provinces and cities across the country. This year’s competition attracted 205 individual entries in the preliminary round from September 15th to October 31st, 2022. Contestants had to go through two preliminary rounds to advance to the final round. In addition to the prepared speeches on the theme, participants also had to answer counter-arguments from the judges to determine the most outstanding contestant.
