No hesitation in interviews – insightful talkshow “From Candidate To Employee”
The massive wave of layoffs in early 2025 has posed significant challenges for the younger generation. What, then, are employers truly looking for in their next employees? These questions were thoroughly addressed in the talk show “From Candidate to Employee.”
Organized and initiated by Peony, a student group from the Faculty of International Relations and Communications at HUFLIT, the event brought HUFLITers a genuine perspective from a real Human Resources (HR) professional. Through direct and practical sharing, the talk show helped “future employees” understand the recruitment process and employers’ expectations, thereby equipping them with the knowledge and skills needed to secure their place in the job market.

With 22 years of experience in Human Resources and Training Management, Ms. Hoàng Thị Thu Trang, Deputy Director of HR & Administration at Nelo Architecture & Interior Design JSC, was the main speaker. She delivered realistic and inspiring insights about the journey to win over recruiters.

With a compelling speaking style, Ms. Trang shared valuable real-life stories that covered the recruitment process, from CV screening to interviews, and the key factors that help candidates stand out amidst today’s increasingly competitive “HR filtering” trend.

The atmosphere became livelier as numerous questions were raised concerning employer expectations and workplace stories. The speaker enthusiastically answered all queries and offered invaluable advice to help students understand recruiters’ mindsets, empowering them to seize opportunities and define themselves on their career path.

The Organizing Committee hopes that the talkshow has helped students build a solid foundation of knowledge and confidence in choosing their future careers. Although the event has officially ended, it marks the beginning of a journey, leaving students with hearts full of dreams and anticipation for the next opportunity, inspired by the insights shared during the session.
