HUFLIT Students Proud to Represent Vietnam at the 2024 Vietnam-Singapore Youth Leadership Dialogue Program
This year, Phan Quang Trường, a student from the Faculty of Foreign Languages at HUFLIT, had the honor of becoming one of the 15 official delegates from Vietnam at the 2024 Vietnam-Singapore Youth Leadership Dialogue Program. Quang Trường, who also serves as Deputy Secretary of the Student Union and President of the SA2005 Club, is a student from the 2021 cohort. He represented HUFLIT alongside 15 other delegates from Singapore.
The event, organized by the Central Youth Union and the National Committee on Vietnamese Youth in collaboration with the National Youth Council of Singapore, carried the theme “Youth Pioneers of Innovation and Creativity for Change.” It took place in both Singapore (August 19-22) and Vietnam (August 22-26).

In Singapore, Quang Trường and his fellow delegates had the opportunity to meet and engage in dialogue with key figures such as Mr. David Chua, Executive Director of the National Youth Council (NYC) of Singapore, and Mr. Alvin Tan, Minister of State for Culture, Community, and Youth, as well as the Vice Chairman of the National Youth Council. The delegates also participated in various dialogue sessions, team-building activities, and networking events at Singapore’s Parliament House, visited Google Singapore, and experienced innovation initiatives at Vidacity, a sustainable innovation hub for startups, businesses, and communities.

During the Vietnam leg of the program, the delegates visited and interacted with several notable institutions, including the Ho Chi Minh National Political Academy, the Mobifone Telecommunications Corporation, Foreign Trade University, Viettel Military Industry and Telecoms Group Headquarters, and the VSIP Hai Phong Industrial Park. Upon returning to Vietnam, Quang Trường had the chance to participate in enriching activities, experiencing the country’s cultural history and cuisine. This experience deepened his pride and love for his homeland.

Reflecting on the trip, Phan Quang Trường shared: “The journey made me realize that our generation plays an incredibly important role in building a better future. I believe that the knowledge, experiences, and connections I gained during this trip will be valuable assets, helping me become more confident in both life and work. I will strive to continue learning and improving myself so that I can contribute more to the community. I would like to sincerely thank the Central Youth Union, the National Youth Council of Singapore, the university’s administration, and the Faculty of Foreign Languages for giving me the opportunity to participate in this meaningful program.”

This exchange program not only allowed young people to meet, interact, and learn from top leaders and experts in various fields, but it also strengthened the bilateral relations between Vietnam and Singapore. It enhanced understanding of the vital role of youth leadership in innovation and creativity, contributing to a shared future. HUFLIT is proud to support and create opportunities for its students to broaden their knowledge, gain new experiences, and showcase the dynamic, responsible, and creative image of HUFLIT students both nationally and internationally.
