The Faculty of Business Administration at HUFLIT is one of the few faculties in Ho Chi Minh City with 20 years of experience in providing specialized education in foreign languages, where 100% of the specialized courses are taught in English.

The Faculty of Business Administration (FBA) was established in 2001. Over 20 years, the Faculty has trained numerous generations of students in various majors, including International Business, Marketing, Human Resources Management, Finance and Accounting, Office Administration, etc. Since the academic year 2015-2016, the Faculty has been offering 2 main majors: International Business (with a major in International Business) and Business Administration (with 2 majors in Human Resources Management and Marketing). FBA has experienced both qualitative and quantitative development, demonstrated by the increasing number of students each year, the expansion of specialized majors, and the high-quality graduates who quickly adapt to the practical labor market.

HUFLIT FBA stands out as one of the few faculties in Ho Chi Minh City with 20 years of experience in providing specialized education in foreign languages, where 100% of the specialized courses are taught in English. The class sizes are moderate, and the graduates of the FBA at HUFLIT have superior and high-standard outcomes compared to other Business Administration programs elsewhere, with an average TOEIC score of 600 (compared to the economic sector’s average TOEIC score of 350 – 500). As a result, the students of FBA have the right to be proud of their strategic mission in the context of economic integration on the international stage.

Career opportunities
With a solid knowledge in their specialized field, good language skills, along with a dynamic and creative spirit, graduates from the Faculty of Business Administration at HUFLIT are well-prepared to work in various positions in the fields of import-export, marketing, communications, human resources, as well as in managing small and medium-sized enterprises. Additionally, thanks to the flexible and constantly updated training programs, students can easily pursue postgraduate courses both domestically and internationally.

After graduation, students can embark on their careers by taking on management trainee positions in foreign-invested enterprises, multinational companies, or large domestic corporations. They can also work as specialists in fields they were trained in, such as marketing, securities, market research, production management, quality management, and logistics. Graduates can gradually take over family businesses or start their own ventures to implement their own business ideas and strategies.

To ensure that students acquire practical experience alongside academic knowledge, the Faculty of Business Administration requires all specialized subject lecturers to have working experience in their respective fields. Moreover, the majority of lecturers have received training abroad, providing a solid foundation for students. This allows students to be confident that they are always updated with the trends in the domestic and international labor markets.

  • High awards in various sports, cultural, and artistic competitions both within and outside the university.

Typical activity
a/ Gallery Walk

The Faculty also has a tradition of organizing extracurricular activities to help students apply their specialized knowledge and skills. One of the prominent activities is the Marketing Day series. The faculty encourages a scientific research mindset in students through movements and seminars like the Student Scientific Research Conference, held annually to bring together passionate research-oriented students and expand their academic knowledge.

In this conference, students present and defend their research projects entirely in English. The Student Scientific Research Exhibition, known as the Gallery Walk, offers fourth-year students the opportunity to showcase their creativity, presentation skills, and sophistication in selecting and executing their research topics.

b/ Marketing Day

The Marketing Day series demands that Marketing students personally organize real-life events for their course. From preparation and planning to execution, they are responsible for every aspect of the events.

Furthermore, field trips and visits to manufacturing plants and workplaces help students visualize and connect theoretical knowledge with real-world scenarios, allowing them to understand the content taught in class and apply it to their future work.

To strengthen the bond between students and lecturers, the annual “Ra Khơi” trip is organized for final-year students in Phan Thiet. This trip leaves unforgettable memories for the students before they leave the university.

With a focus on quality and academics, along with efficient management by the Faculty’s leadership and assistants, the Faculty of International Business Administration is always ready to innovate and improve both its curriculum and teaching methods to seize opportunities, overcome challenges, and lead HUFLIT to new heights.
