The training program of FIT – HUFLIT equips students with a strong foundation of knowledge and provides a practical environment with the most advanced technologies. After graduation, students possess professional skills in the field of IT, including teamwork, research, and professional work.

Currently, the undergraduate training program of the Faculty includes the following majors:

  • Data Science

To ensure that the training program is highly applicable while still providing a comprehensive scientific background to enable students to pursue further education and research at higher levels, FIT has taken into account advanced training programs both domestically and internationally. Moreover, the Faculty also continuously updates and adjusts the training program to align with the global technology trends.

Dedicated and excellent Faculty staff

The FIT has a team of dedicated and talented lecturers who are passionate about teaching and caring for students. They play a crucial role in guiding students throughout their development. For freshmen transitioning from high school to university and adapting to self-study, the Faculty actively encourages and creates conditions to enhance their self-learning abilities. The Faculty’s teaching staff is always attentive and supportive, ensuring that students do not feel overwhelmed by the vast amount of knowledge. The young and enthusiastic teaching team motivates students, especially freshmen, to develop their passion for the field. In specialized subjects, practical sessions are organized with small group sizes, typically no more than 25 students, allowing instructors to closely monitor students’ learning progress and provide support when needed.

Student’s outstanding achievement

Students of the Faculty of Information Technology (FIT) at HUFLIT have achieved outstanding results in academic competitions, showcasing the high-quality education and practical skills they receive. Some of the remarkable achievements include:

While the IT field is often associated with individuals sitting behind computers wearing thick glasses, IT students at HUFLIT stand out with their diverse and energetic extracurricular activities, ranging from cultural and artistic events to sports and volunteer activities.

In addition to academic programs that enhance students’ specialized knowledge, FIT students anually organize dynamic and vibrant activities such as IT Day – a welcome event for new students, gaming tournaments, and music night to welcome freshmen. Under the guidance of Faculty staff, students take the lead in planning and implementing these events, allowing them to develop soft skills such as communication, public relations, content writing, and fundraising. This approach transforms the IT field from a traditionally “dry and rigid” major to one filled with practical experience and opportunities for growth. At HUFLIT, students in the IT field, as well as other majors, always “learn through experience and real-world application”.

  • Proud to be HUFLITers #07 | M.A. Tran My Uyen – A lectern where a teacher wishes only to “watch her children grow up”
At the HUFLIT Faculty of Foreign Languages, M.A. Tran My Uyen (Vice Dean) goes by many names. Some call her “Ms My”; her students call her “mother”. Colleagues often compare her to Mother Au Co with a hundred children. Yet to become the “mother” of the lecture hall she is today, she went through a profound shift in thinking that completely changed a teaching philosophy built over more than 30 years.

  • “GenZ Major Insights 2026” – Episode 9: Boundless Journeys with HUFLIT’s Tourism and Hospitality Programs
Many students choose the Tourism and Hospitality field simply because they love to travel. But passion alone is not enough to pursue this field in the long run. What matters more is understanding the nature of the discipline, its professional requirements, and the qualities needed to grow in a professional service environment.
