According to the speaker’s sharing, public speaking is not simply about showing eloquence or fluency, but the most important thing is to convey the message so that listeners understand and remember. An effective talk does not need to be too long, just needs to prepare 2–3 clear main ideas, know how to regulate the pace, pause and breathe before presenting. Speaking a little slower and seeing this as sharing instead of the worry of being judged will help the speaker keep calm and connect better with the audience.

The speaker also emphasised that confidence is not an innate quality but is formed through a process of training. The more you proactively step out of your comfort zone, dare to speak and practise regularly, the more steady students will become each time they stand in front of a crowd.

Not stopping at listening, students also directly interacted, asked questions and participated in interactive activities, creating conditions to train presentation thinking, language reflexes and the ability to convey messages. The sharing and experiences at the seminar are highly applicable, suitable to the real requirements of students in the academic environment as well as the highly competitive Economics – Finance field.

The representative of the Youth Union – Student Association of the Faculty of Economics – Finance also sent deep gratitude to the speaker as a thank-you for the dedicated, valuable sharing for the students attending the programme. Not only did they listen to the dedicated sharing from the speaker, but they also accumulated a more correct perspective on public-speaking skills.

Through the programme, students better understood how to overcome the fear of speaking in front of a crowd, know how to prepare content, present coherently, confidently convey their thoughts and express themselves through voice as well as the art of expression. The knowledge and experiences from the seminar contributed to spreading confidence, resilience and the courage to speak up – necessary baggage for students to be more ready in study, work and life in the future.
