Quality Accreditation Activities

A summary of the current procedures of the Department of Educational Testing and Quality Assurance

At the 2022 - 2023 academic year opening ceremony, Ho Chi Minh City University of Foreign Languages - Information Technology received the Decision and Certificate of Educational Quality Accreditation from the Center for Education Accreditation, VNU-HCM.

From 24 to 26 August 2022, Ho Chi Minh City University of Foreign Languages - Information Technology worked with the Institute for Management Research and Training, VNU-HCM to organise a training course on programme assessment under the FIBAA set of standards.

To serve educational quality accreditation work and equip lecturers with the skills needed to raise training quality, to be able to measure and assess learning outcomes and move towards programme accreditation, Ho Chi Minh City University of Foreign Languages - Information Technology organised the training course "Practising the measurement and assessment of the extent to which learners achieve the learning outcomes of courses and training programmes". The programme took place over two days, 26 and 27 July 2022, under the guidance of Dr. Nguyen Hua Phung – consulting expert from the Center for Education Accreditation, VNU-HCM (CEA).

From 25 to 27 April 2022, 60 managers, lecturers and specialists of HUFLIT took part in the training course "Institutional-level educational quality assessment". The programme was delivered under the guidance of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Ngoc Quynh Lam – Director of the Center for Education Accreditation, VNU-HCM, and Dr. Truong Chi Hien – educational quality accreditation assessor.

On 21 January 2022, the external assessment expert team of the Center for Education Accreditation, VNU-HCM (the Center) carried out a preliminary survey assessing the quality of 3 undergraduate training programmes of Ho Chi Minh City University of Foreign Languages - Information Technology (the University): the Information Technology programme, the English Language programme and the Business Administration programme.
